  • Patent number: 6936785
Abstract: A welding construction (10) includes a weldable portion (11a) formed by bending a leading end of an electrically conductive plate (11). This weldable portion (11a) is formed with a tip (11c). Further, a slit (11d) is formed to extend from a left slanted edge (11b) toward a widthwise center of the weldable portion (11a), and a lead (12a) is accommodated in the slit (11d). A meltable portion (11e) is provided between the slit (11d) and the leading end of the weldable portion (11a) including a tip (11c). When an electrode (D) of an arc welding machine discharges arcs toward the leading end of the weldable portion (11a), these arcs are created toward the tip (11c) to melt the weldable portion (11e) and connect the lead (12a) and the weldable portion (11a).

  • Patent number: 6824630
Abstract: A flexible flat cable connecting method includes stripping an insulation coating (5) surface of a flexible flat cable (1) to be connected with a busbar (2) to expose a conductive element (4). The method continues by introducing the flexible flat cable (1) and the busbar (2) between a horn (7) and an anvil (6) of an ultrasonic welding machine (3), and then transmitting an ultrasonic vibration to the horn (7). The horn (7) has a plurality of elongated projections (9) of tapered cross-section pressed in contact with the insulation coating (5) of the flexible flat cable (1).

The horn (7) has a plurality of elongated projections (9) of tapered cross-section pressed in contact with the insulation coating (5) of the flexible flat cable (1). Thus, the elongated projections (9) bite into the insulation coating (5) to weld the conductive element (4) ultrasonically to the busbar (2).

  • Patent number: 6327775
Abstract: A terminal crimping unit providing improved functionality. The pressuring unit is installed on the terminal crimping unit. The pressuring unit is equipped with a plural number of pressure members for crimping the terminal fittings. The plural number of pressure members are unified in one frame body. The frame body is designed such that can be taken off and put on as one unit from the shank. By having only one motion for putting on and taking off the frame body, the plural number of pressuring members, including the crimpers, can be maintained as one unit.

  • Patent number: 6290509
Abstract: The circuitry contained in an electrical connector housing is standardized, so that its manufacturing, modification and addition can be simplified. To this end, a circuitry is designed so as to include a plurality of unit circuits, both ends of which are to be connected to an electrical part such as a relay, fuse or connector. The unit circuits are made of an identical electrically conductive material and formed into long thin elements. The unit circuits are arranged in parallel at a given spacing relative to one another. The electrically conductive element of each unit circuit is connected to the electrical part through another electrically conductive element arranged substantially perpendicular thereto.
