  • Patent number: 6013773
Abstract: A stable pharmaceutical preparation containing a human growth hormone having a molecular weight of about 20,000, or a derivative thereof, can be formulated by adding a water soluble heterocyclic compound, such as creatinine, a salt of acetyltryptophane and nicotinamide, to prevent the insolubilization of the human growth hormone or the derivative thereof in an aqueous solution.

  • Patent number: 5873301
Abstract: A husking apparatus for cereals comprises a pair of rolls provided parallel to each other with a clearance therebetween, and an inclined guide chute situated above the rolls. The guide chute slides down cereal grains between the rolls, and the rolls rotate in opposite directions, respectively, to nip and shell the cereal grains therebetween. The guide chute and the rolls are located so that a guide surface of the guide chute is substantially perpendicular to a line connecting the centers of rotational shafts, and that an extension line from the guide surface passes within a range of .+-.10 mm on both sides of a middle point of the clearance between the first and second rolls. The guide surface of the guide chute has such an inclination that the cereal grains spread all over a width of the guide surface in the substantially single layer of a band-like shape and are accelerated up to a speed less than peripheral speeds of the rolls while they slide down along the guide surface.

  • Patent number: 5173928
Abstract: A tomograph makes use of phase information obtainable from a radiation beam having transmitted a to-be-inspected object. In one embodiment, the tomograph has an interferometer for producing interference infringes between a signal beam having transmitted through the object and a reference beam and eventually producing Moire fringes a detector for detecting the Moire fringes, and a signal processing unit for processing outputs of the detector.

  • Patent number: 4756684
Abstract: A monitor method for the combustion conditions in a furnace of a boiler having a plurality of burners is disclosed. The method includes the steps of detecting the flame intensity at a predetermined position of a flame, by using an optical fiber having as its view the predetermined position at the flame of each of the plurality of burners; judging if the combustion conditions of each burner are normal or not, based on if the flame intensity detected for each burner flame is within a predetermined normal level range; and displaying the judgement results. Preferably, an image fiber for obtaining a flame image indicating the combustion conditions is provided for at least one of the burners, and the normal level range is determined based on the flame image obtained by the image fiber.

  • Patent number: 4532422
Abstract: The present invention provides an electron holography microscope producing an interference pattern having contour moire lines which is displayed on a cathode-ray tube. With the invention the three-dimensional structure of a specimen can be readily observed on the cathode-ray tube. The electron holography microscope of the present invention comprises a television camera which picks up the interference pattern a straight line fringe output means for delivering a straight line fringe pattern the direction and interval of which are selected at will. Outputs of the television camera and the means are added in a multiplier and the result is displayed on the cathode-ray tube.

  • Patent number: 4475044
Abstract: The apparatus for focus-deflecting a charged particle beam includes two electron lenses for focusing the charged particle beam and a single deflector for deflecting the charged particle beam to a desired position, wherein one of the electron lenses on the object point side and the deflector are arranged so that their magnetic fields overlap each other, and the aberration generated by them offsets that generated by the other of the electron lenses.

  • Patent number: 4223187
Abstract: In order to record information spirally on a disk and to reproduce the recorded information accurately without any contact, at the recording, an information signal and a predetermined signal for synchronous detection are added together, the resultant signal is subjected to frequency modulation and, while a laser beam intensity-modulated by the frequency-modulated signal is minutely swung in the radial direction of the rotating disk at the same frequency as that of the synchronous detection signal, it is caused to impinge on the disk to thereby record the information spirally on a recording medium of the disk without any contact. During the reproduction, as the disk is being rotated, a light spot is caused to impinge along an information groove formed on the disk, and reflected light or transmitted light from the disk is detected in the form of an electric signal.
