  • Patent number: 7245568
Abstract: A disc recording and reproducing device disclosed herein comprises: a resuming section which resumes writing of record data; a first reproduction synchronization signal output section which reproduces the record data recorded on a recorded data region, sequentially extracts a synchronization signal from the reproduced record data, and outputs a first reproduction synchronization signal; a reliability judging section which only detects a frame having a period in accordance with a predetermined standard from the first reproduction synchronization signal, and outputs the frame as a reliability synchronization signal; a synchronization signal phase retaining section which outputs a retained phase signal that retains a phase of the frame of the reliability synchronization signal; a second reproduction synchronization signal output section which reproduces the record data recorded on an additional data region, sequentially extracts the synchronization signal, and outputs a second reproduction synchronization signal

  • Patent number: 6795385
Abstract: An optical disk recording and reproducing apparatus comprise, a buffer circuit which receive and store data and output the stored data, an EFM modulation circuit which receive data output from the buffer circuit, adding a frame synchronous signal and sub-code data, subjecting these items of data to the EFM modulation to create record data, a buffer remaining amount control circuit for detecting the remaining amount of data stored in the buffer circuit, a record control circuit for conducting the control for temporarily suspending the recording operation to the optical disk at an arbitrary position of the main data of the record data excluding the frame synchronous signal and the sub-code data in the case where the detection result of the remaining amount of data in the buffer remaining amount control circuit corresponds to the state in which the buffer underrun is generated.

  • Patent number: 6430723
Abstract: An error correcting device includes a receiving circuit for receiving data in a unit of block, an error correcting circuit for detecting an error in the data received by the receiving circuit and correcting the error, a transmission circuit for transmitting the data whose error has been corrected by the error correcting circuit, and a storage device having two areas each having a storage capacity corresponding to at least one block of the data. The transmission circuit reads the data corrected by the error correcting circuit from one of the areas of the storage device, and simultaneously, the receiving circuit writes the received data into said one area of the storage device at an address where the transmission circuit has already read out the error-corrected data.

  • Publication number: 20020004925
Abstract: An error correcting device includes a storage device having two areas each having a storage capacity corresponding to one block of the data, and an error correcting circuit in which a period of time of error detection and correction regarding one block of the error correcting code is shorter than a period of time during which a receiving circuit receives one block of data. When the error correcting circuit performs error correction for one block of data and writes the corrected data into an corrected data area of the storage device, a transmission circuit reads out the corrected data from a head address of an area which was a corrected data area in the last processing, transmitting the data. The receiving circuit writes the received data at an address from which the transmission circuit has read out the data within a period of time during which the transmission circuit reads out one block of corrected data from the area of the storage device to transmit the data, so that the area is as the received data area.
