  • Patent number: 5490631
Abstract: A heat-insulating paper container comprising a body member and a bottom panel member, part of the outer surface of said body member being provided with printing of an organic solvent based ink, wherein a thick foamed heat-insulating layer that is made of a thermoplastic synthetic resin film is formed in the printed area of said outer surface whereas a less thick foamed heat-insulating layer that is made of the same thermoplastic synthetic resin film is formed in the non-printed area of said outer surface. If desired, part of the thermoplastic synthetic resin film may be adapted to remain totally unfoamed.

  • Patent number: 4460348
Abstract: A method for producing two-piece paper containers having waterproofness, water repellency, permeability and good stiffness without using any adhesive. A container body wall member and a container bottom panel member are blanked out from a base paper made from a stock containing about 10 to about 80% by weight of high-density polyethylene synthetic pulp. The blanked members are fabricated into a container using a conventional cup-making machine without using any adhesive. Then, the so-fabricated containers are heated at a temperature between about 120.degree. C. and about 300.degree. C. for a short period of time.

  • Patent number: 4435344
Abstract: A heat-insulating paper container having good heat-insulating property which can be prepared easily at low cost is disclosed. The paper container is prepared by heating a paper container comprising a body member and a bottom member, wherein one surface of at least the container body member is coated or laminated with a thermoplastic synthetic resin film and the other surface of the body member is coated or laminated with the same or different thermoplastic synthetic resin film or an aluminum foil, to thereby foam the thermoplastic synthetic resin film and form a heat-insulating layer on at least one surface of the container.
