  • Patent number: 6725965
Abstract: An electric power steering system remaining stable when subjected to forces from the road surface, the engine or motor, or from other sources. The electric power steering system has a torque sensor for outputting a signal corresponding to the value of the steering torque, a derivative component for outputting a signal obtained by differentiating the output signal of the torque sensor, a driver for electrically driving an assist apparatus which assists a steering force, an assist current determining component for determining current flowing to the driver in accordance with the output signal of the torque sensor and the output signal of the derivative, and a gain control for setting a gain of the derivative component to zero or reducing the gain when the output signal of the torque sensor is smaller than a predetermined value. Methods to provide a stable steering system are also part of the subject matter.

Abstract: An electric power steering system that is stable when subjected to forces from the road surface, the engine or motor, or from other sources. The electric power steering system has a torque sensor for outputting a signal corresponding to the value of the steering torque, a derivative means for outputting a signal obtained by differentiating the output signal of the torque sensor, a driving means for electrically driving an assist apparatus which assists a steering force, an assist current determining means for determining current flowing to the drive means in accordance with the output signal of the torque sensor and the output signal of the derivative means, and a gain control means for setting a gain of the derivative means to zero or reducing the gain when the output signal of the torque sensor is smaller than a predetermined value. Methods to provide a stable steering system are also part of the subject matter.

  • Patent number: 5493175
Abstract: Disclosed is a plasma display panel including a porous metal plate in which a plurality of holes for display cells are formed at positions corresponding to intersections at which a first linear electrode group and a second linear electrode group cross each other with a predetermined interval therebetween, and a front glass plate, wherein openings of the holes of the porous metal plate on the front surface side are larger than openings on the rear surface side, the openings on the rear surface are covered with a molten material of an inorganic dielectric containing glass and are thereby air-tightly sealed. This plasma display panel is light in weight and thin and can be easily assembled.

  • Patent number: 5135065
Abstract: A vehicular height controlling arrangement changing a length of a suspension cylinder by supplying or draining the hydraulic oil through a damping force selector valve. The damping force selector valve changes a damping force of a suspension cylinder by changing an orifice therein. When the vehicular height is lowered under a vehicle stopping condition, a large orifice is selected in the damping force selector valve so as to quickly lower the vehicular height. Thereafter, a small orifice is immediately selected to suppress the swinging of the automotive vehicle.
