  • Patent number: 5119530
Abstract: A slide fastener is disclosed which comprises a pair of stringer tapes each having molded thereon a row of coupling elements. The elements is formed from a thermoplastic resin composition containing 0.01-10 weight % of an organopolysiloxane. The resin composition facilitates separation of the stringers from the mold and movement of a slider on the fastener.

  • Patent number: 4492547
Abstract: An apparatus for manufacturing a continuous slide fastener stringer including a row of injection-molded coupling elements secured to a stringer tape along a longitudinal edge thereof, includes a pair of fixed and movable mold members through which the stringer tape is fed by a tape advancing means, and a pair of upper and lower tape shifters mounted on the movable mold member for moving the stringer tape between a first position in which a part or portion of the stringer tape lies flatwise on a mold surface of the movable mold member and a second position in which the tape's part is spaced from the mold surface and held out of interference with a feeler projecting from the mold surface of the movable mold member. During the advancing movement of the movable mold member toward the fixed mold and in timed relation to the stringer-tape advancing means, the tape shifters are movable with respect to the movable mold member to place the tape's part in the first position.

  • Patent number: 4269588
Abstract: An injection molding machine has a round support member rotatably mounted on a shaft, there being at least a series of molds supported on and along the periphery of the table. Each of the molds includes a pair of relatively pivotable mold members, one of which is operatively connected to a power actuator which includes a fluid-pressurizable cylinder fixed to the support member and a piston having a rod projecting from the cylinder for actuating said one of the pair of mold members.

  • Patent number: 4015449
Abstract: A slide fastener stringer tape of a warp-knitted structure is disclosed which is adapted for mounting thereon a row of interlocking fastener elements. The warp-knitted stringer tape has the interwale groove at the tape edge along and through which a line of element-sewing stitches passes. The interwale groove is defined between the outermost wale and an adjoining wale and is provided therein solely with tricot sinker loops which connect these wales together in each course. This arrangement is such that the sewing needle can be directed to and through any optional position of the interwale groove without having regard to the position of the courses.
