  • Patent number: 5056045
Abstract: In the proposed geometric processing system geometry and space are partitioned into a plurality of subspaces by virtual partitioning lines passing characteristic points of the geometry and geometric sides. Pointers are respectively set for the characteristic points on the left and right side of each subspace. These two pointers set in one subspace point to each other. Each subspace is represented by such a pair of pointers. Based on the above-mentioned partition method, a plurality of subspaces are then adjacent to each characteristic point. Pointers for each characteristic point are grouped so that they correspond to each characteristic point on a one to one basis. This geometric processing system includes a data base comprising data grouped in such a way. The proposed geometric/graphic data structure enables high-speed geometric processing for a wide range of applications including LSI/VLSI design.

  • Patent number: 4935900
Abstract: A dynamic random access memory includes a self-refreshing function, in which an error correction device for detecting and correcting an error in the data of the memory cell during the refreshing operation of the memory cell data is provided. The clock period of a control clock generator for controlling the refreshing and error correcting operation is made variable. Specifically, the clock period of the clock generator is maintained in the vicinity of a maximum acceptable value dependant on the pause time of the memory cell in response to an error detection signal generated at the time of error correction by the error correction device. According to this configuration, if the phase time of the memory cell is changed significantly due to the manufacturing process condition the refreshing operation can be effected at a period near the maximum acceptable value, so that the self-refreshing current consumption may be decreased.

  • Patent number: 4669065
Abstract: A memory apparatus has a dummy cell comprising two sets of series connections of MOS transistors and capacitors, respectively, connected to a pair of bit lines, which are connected to a sense amplifier of a flip-flop type, and a third MOS transistor having a source and a drain thereof connected between junction points of the MOS transistors and the capacitors of the dummy cell. The capacitors are charged at a high level potential and a low level potential, respectively, of the bit lines and then they are shorted to each other through the third MOS transistor so that they have a common potential of a middle potential level. The potential of the middle level can be supplied to a pair of input terminals to the flip-flop type sense amplifier as a reference potential signal. Thus, it is possible to assure a stable sensing operation by the sense amplifier which is free from an influence of a change in the potential of a substrate of the memory apparatus.

  • Patent number: 4364112
Abstract: A miniature computer has a main section which includes a central processor, a read only memory storing a monitor program, a random access memory for executing the monitor program and a controlling circuit for peripheral equipment, and a hand-held controller electrically connected to the main section through a flat cable, the hand-held controller having a keyboard and display device such that the keyboard has keys of numerals 0 to 9 and the alpha characters A to Z for enabling data in the form of symbolic language to be input according to an assembler program. The assembler program is stored in the read only memory and the symbolic language data is converted to corresponding machine language. The hand-held controller includes a key input system which utilizes encoders rather than mulitplexers to detect and transmit key input data data to the main section.

  • Patent number: 4308561
Abstract: A reproducing circuit is provided for reproducing digital information recorded in a cassette tape by frequency modulation in which different first and second digital logic levels are respectively represented by first and second repeated signals having respective first and second repeated frequencies, the first repeated frequency being higher than the second. A pulse forming circuit produces first and second pulse signals having the first and second repeated frequencies in response to the signals recorded on the cassette tape. The first or second pulse signals are applied to a one-shot circuit as a trigger signal and to the control input terminal of a flip-flop circuit as a control signal. The output of the one-shot circuit is supplied to the data input terminal of the flip-flop circuit, whereby reproduced digital information corresponding to the digital information recorded on the cassette tape is derived from the output terminal of the flip-flop circuit.
