  • Publication number: 20190007573
Abstract: An image reading device according to an aspect of this invention is equipped with an image sensor having multiple sensor IC chips. The image reading device includes a detection unit which detects respective offset levels of a reference channel and of a correction target channel from among multiple channels provided for groups of the multiple IC chips, an acquisition unit which acquires a difference between the offset levels of the reference channel and of the correction target channel, and a correction unit which corrects shading data of a correction target sensor IC chip on the correction target channel based on the acquired difference.

  • Patent number: 8373891
Abstract: An image-forming apparatus includes a first monitor which detects whether a non-paper-medium supplier is attached to the main body of the image-forming apparatus. When a normal copying process is selected, the copying process is stopped immediately if the first monitor determines that the non-paper-medium supplier is attached and an error message indicating that a printing process cannot be performed since the non-paper-medium supplier is attached is shown on the main body. In addition, if a facsimile is received while the non-paper-medium supplier is attached to the main body, the user is informed that the facsimile call is received. Accordingly, the user can change the setting of the image-forming apparatus so that the facsimile can be received. Thus, the facsimile is received manually if the non-paper-medium supplier is attached to the main body and is received by operation after the line is acquired by a handset telephone.

  • Patent number: 6992459
Abstract: Stepping drive control of a motor is effected by synchronizing interruption to a CPU with N (in number) line triggers set to N times of one-line of an image. Further, in a synchronous mode in which phase control is effected in synchronous with N line triggers, acceleration/deceleration table can be switched not only by the N line triggers (external triggers) but also by internal triggers. With this arrangement, acceleration and deceleration of the motor is permitted within the N line triggers (external triggers) while being synchronized with the N line triggers (external triggers), thereby reducing a burden of software processing and realizing motor control corresponding to interruption of one line during high speed reading.

  • Patent number: 6084813
Abstract: In a system using a clock synchronous type synchronous DRAM (SDRAM), when a power supply voltage monitoring circuit informs a timing circuit of a decrease in voltage from a main power supply, the timing circuit outputs a self refresh request signal to a CPU. In response to the self refresh request signal, the CPU outputs a clock enable signal synchronous with the system clock, and a self refresh transfer command signal, which is expressed by a combination of states of memory access control signals, to the SDRAM, so as to start up self refresh of the SDRAM. After the self refresh has been started up, the CPU outputs a clock enable mask signal that masks the clock enable signal to switch a clock enable signal to be supplied to the SDRAM from the clock enable signal output from the CPU to a voltage detection signal of a backup power supply. A reset signal then outputs a reset signal to transfer to backup operation.
