Abstract: A refrigeration apparatus comprises a machine chamber for containing a compressor, a condenser and others, and a display chamber for accommodating articles to be displayed. The display chamber is constituted by an inner box and an outer box between which a cooling air passage is defined. Defined internally of the machine chamber is a cooler chamber enclosed substantially by a heat insulating material in such a manner as to communicate with the cooling air passage. Disposed within the cooler chamber is a cooling air circulating device and a cooler for causing the cooling air to circulate through the cooling air passage and back to the cooler chamber.

Abstract: A dishwasher comprises a main body having a washing tub. A box-like cover is mounted above the washing tub to be movable between a lower position to close the washing tub and an upper position to expose the tub. A supporting frame having a channel-like cross section for supporting the cover and guiding the movement thereof is mounted so as to extend from the washing tub into the interior of the cover. A pair of coil springs are provided to the inside of the channel-like supporting frame and have respective lower ends secured on the supporting frame at the inner side thereof and respective upper ends secured to a shield member which assumes a blocking position to substantially close an opening formed in a top wall of the cover when the latter is at the upper position while assuming a releasing position where the top opening of the cover is released from the blocked state. The shield member is swingable between the blocking position and the releasing position.

Abstract: A pharmaceutical composition for the prevention of dental caries which comprises as essential component(s) one or more of pentacyclic acid triterpenes of the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 represents CH.sub.3, CHO or CH.sub.2 OH, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 independently represent CH.sub.3 or COOH, R.sub.4 represents H, CH.sub.3, COOH or COOCH.sub.3, R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 independently represent H, CH.sub.3 or OH, and A represents two Hs or O, and their salts.

Abstract: A method of enhancing a fungus-lytic activity of .beta.-1,3-D-glucanase which comprises using said glucanase in the presence of one or more of the activators selected from the group consisting of sodium lauroylsarcosinate, polyoxyethylene alkylphenyl ether, polyoxyethylene alkyl ether, polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylenealkyl ether, benzalkonium chloride, ammonium chloride, chlorhexidine glucuronate, methylparaben, propylparaben, trypsin, Pronase.RTM. and Alcalase.RTM..A method of enhancing a fungus-lytic activity of .beta.-1,3-D-glucanase which comprises using two .beta.-1,3-D-glucanases of different origins is also provided.

Abstract: A cleaning composition for an artificial denture which comprises .beta.-1,3-glucanase as an essential component together with one or more of suitable carriers.
