Abstract: An access control system controls access to a shared resource for various functional circuits. The access control system can include a comparison circuit, a processing circuit, and a selection circuit. The comparison circuit receives identification data associated with a functional circuit based on a transaction initiated by the functional circuit, and compares the identification data and reference data to generate a select signal. The processing circuit receives error data and response data outputted by the shared resource based on an execution of the transaction, and generates another response data. The selection circuit selects and outputs, based on the select signal, one of the response data outputted by the shared resource and the response data generated by the processing circuit as a transaction response that is to be provided to the functional circuit.

  • Publication number: 20220369319
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may establish a first wireless connection with a first wireless device, and a second wireless connection with the first wireless device or a second wireless device, where the first wireless connection and the second wireless connection operate in a dual connectivity mode. The UE may identify first and second energy efficiency metrics associated with the first and second wireless connections, respectively. The UE may identify one or more parameters associated with a transmit power of communications at the UE, and may compare the first energy efficiency metric and the second energy efficiency metric. The UE may then allocate a first power resource to the first wireless connection, a second power resource to the second wireless connection, or both, based on the comparison, the one or more parameters, or a combination thereof.

  • Publication number: 20220327886
Abstract: A method and apparatus to automatically calibrate one or more attributes of a gaming system. For instance, the gaming system determines, in response to analysis by a processor of image data via a machine-learning model, an orientation of an affixed (e.g., printed) fiducial marker positioned in a known location on a planar playing surface of a gaming table. The system also transforms, in response to determining the orientation, first geometric data associated with an object on the planar playing surface to isomorphically equivalent second geometric data. The system also digitally illustrates, via an augmented reality overlay of the image data using the isomorphically equivalent second geometric data, a graphical representation of the object positioned relative to the fiducial marker on the planar playing surface.

  • Publication number: 20220245467
Abstract: The disclosed subject matter relates to a system and method for retrieving relevant information in response to a user query without devising intent of the query. The relevant information is contained within a semi-structured database which was populated from Q&A pairs, help web sites, product descriptions and other information from an organizations knowledge base and from which an inverted index is created. The semi-structured data base may be created automatically or entered manually. Upon receiving a user query, data segments are identified (and ranked) via the inverse index and the data segment most similar to the query is provided to a MRC model which reads the segments to determine the portion (span/snippet) of the data segment that addresses the query. This portion is provided to the user in response to the query.

  • Publication number: 20220121360
Abstract: A system-on-chip (SoC) includes a system memory, a memory controller, and a memory management system coupled therebetween. The memory management system is configured to receive, from the memory controller, a first control signal that is indicative of a memory operation associated with the system memory, and output and provide a second control signal to the system memory to control an execution of the memory operation. The second control signal is outputted such that when the memory operation corresponds to a first read operation, the first read operation is executed with the system memory, and when the memory operation corresponds to a first write operation, a second read operation is executed with the system memory followed by the first write operation. Thus, the memory management system prevents memory corruption of the system memory when an asynchronous reset event is detected in the SoC.

  • Publication number: 20220095325
Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer-readable media, for managing scheduling requests (SRs) in a user equipment (UE) that supports a split data radio bearer (DRB). In some aspects, the UE may trigger a first SR for a first communication link and a second SR for a second communication link in response to determining that a first amount of data in the UE data buffer is greater than a first threshold. The UE may transmit the first SR to a first base station (BS) via the first communication link. Prior to transmission of the second SR, the UE may determine whether a second amount of data in the UE data buffer is less than a second threshold. The UE may cancel the second SR in response to the second amount of data in the UE data buffer being less than the second threshold.

  • Patent number: 11281540
Abstract: A remote data facility includes a primary storage volume on a first storage system mirrored to a backup storage volume on a second storage system. A nocopy clone of a production volume is added to the primary storage volume. A define process is used to cause the tracks of the nocopy clone to point to backend allocations of tracks of memory of the production volume. As tracks of the nocopy clone are defined, corresponding flags are marked as invalid to cause data associated with the tracks to be replicated across the remote data facility to the backup storage volume. Incremental clones can be added to the primary storage volume, defined, and replicated on the remote data facility using the same process. Nocopy clones and target-less nocopy snapshots of the backup storage volume are used to restore the production volume using failover/failback mechanisms of the remote data facility.
