  • Patent number: 8991749
Abstract: An aircraft pylon for mounting a dual-flow or triple-flow jet engine, the pylon including an upper surface for connection to the aircraft, two side flanks, and a flange on the lower portion of the pylon. The pylon further includes at least one portion that extends downstream from the cold flow nozzle of the jet engine and lies in the cold flow and, on the portion thereof extending into the cold flow beyond the nozzle, at least one opening, positioned on one of the flanks of the pylon, by which an air stream is injected into or drawn from the gas flow that flows along the flanks of the pylon.

  • Patent number: 7891195
Abstract: A device for attenuating acoustical noise from an exhaust nozzle of a turbojet is disclosed. The turbojet exhaust nozzle includes a central body defining the inner surface of the primary gas flow path. The central body includes an outer wall defining one, and only one, resonator cavity. The single resonator cavity is in fluid communication with the primary gas flow path via orifices through at least one upstream portion of the outer wall. The single resonator cavity and plurality of orifices compose a Helmholtz resonator.

  • Patent number: 7520369
Abstract: A soundproofing panel having a core sandwiched between a solid wall and a porous wall. The core being connected to the walls and having partitions extending in the thickness direction between the two walls so as to form cells. Each cell containing at least one sound energy dissipating layer constituted by hollow spherical beads having mutually contacting walls that are porous and micro-perforated, and being held in position in the thickness direction between the two walls by nets that are secured to the partitions.

  • Publication number: 20070220894
Abstract: The invention relates to a central body of a turbojet nozzle comprising a wall forming a cavity. The central body comprises a plurality of orifices pierced over at least one upstream portion of its wall and a single resonance cavity forming a Helmholtz resonator. Such a central body makes it possible to attenuate the low frequency noises.

  • Patent number: 6935098
Abstract: A nozzle comprising an inner barrel, a centerbody disposed inside the inner barrel so as to define a first channel for a primary flow, and an outer barrel surrounding the inner barrel so as to define a second annular channel for a secondary flow, the free end of the inner barrel presenting a surface having a first series of undulations made up of negative undulations alternating with positive undulations, the centerbody presenting a second series of undulations made up of negative undulations alternating with positive undulations, the negative and positive undulations of the series of undulations being of radial height that varies angularly and being disposed in such a manner that the negative undulations of the first series are disposed facing negative undulations of the second series, and vice versa, so as to generate turbulence and radial shear between the primary and secondary flows while conserving a constant flow section around the entire circumference of the nozzle.
