Patent number: 10161267Abstract: A test bench for turbomachine comprising: an installation zone for turbomachine; an active system for attenuating the noise emissions produced by the turbomachine. The active system includes an attenuation zone with emitters such as loudspeakers; a first microphone placed downstream of the turbomachine; and a second microphone placed downstream of the attenuation zone. The system reduces the turbomachine waves on the basis of the measurements from the first microphone and from the second microphone. The invention also proposes a method for attenuating the noise emissions from the turbomachine tested in the test bench.Type: GrantFiled: August 23, 2017Date of Patent: December 25, 2018Assignee: Safran Aero Boosters SAInventors: Benoit Meys, Alain Lacroix

Patent number: 9973047Abstract: The invention relates to a rotating electric machine, such as a dynamometer. The rotor of the machine comprises a circular row of resultant magnetic poles of which the polarity forms an alternation of opposed poles. The resultant poles each include a pair of permanent magnets in a “V”, each equipped with a north pole N, a south pole S, and opposed faces, where the magnet poles are located. In each resultant pole the magnets are disposed so as to have faces having identical polarities, which faces are oriented radially outwardly, facing towards one another, thus forming therebetween an angle ? between 90° and 110°, which makes it possible to increase the efficiency. The invention also relates to a turbomachine test stand equipped with a dynamometer enabling a recovery of electrical energy. The invention also relates to a hybrid motor vehicle propelled by the rotating electric machine.Type: GrantFiled: September 9, 2015Date of Patent: May 15, 2018Assignee: Safran Aero Boosters SAInventors: Alain Lacroix, Quac Hung Tran, Benoit Meys

Publication number: 20080289636Abstract: The invention relates to a device for angularly positioning a member of a patient lying on an operating table (TO), comprising means for positioning a cradle (Be) supporting the member of the patient relative to lateral guide rails (RG1, RG2) of the operating table (TO). Said positioning means comprise: means (MS1, MS2, MS3) for fixing the cradle positioning means (Be) on either of the two lateral guide rails (RG1, RG2) of the operating table (TO), and; means for positioning this cradle (Be) along an axis (?3) contained in a plane parallel to that defined by the operating table (TO), and perpendicular to the principal axis (?) of the operating table (TO).Type: ApplicationFiled: September 21, 2006Publication date: November 27, 2008Inventor: Alain Lacroix

Patent number: 4731223Abstract: A composition for the automatic cleaning of toilet bowls includes at least one amine oxide, at least one appropriate colorant and at least one pH regulating agent, the composition being such that the pH of the aqueous mixture in the toilet bowl is about 6.3.+-.0.5. The composition is applied by filling containers designed to be used especially in the reservoir or tank of the toilet bowl.Type: GrantFiled: November 8, 1985Date of Patent: March 15, 1988Assignee: Cotelle S.A.Inventors: Lucienee Forestier, Francois-Xavier Bonnet, Alain Lacroix

Patent number: 4511326Abstract: A catalytic gas burner, as used e.g. in a mobile space heater, comprises a valve housing divided by at least two poppet valves into three or more cascaded chambers. One chamber communicates with a gas inlet and is normally closed by a first poppet valve which can be opened by a push rod and held open by an electromagnet, the latter being energized under the control of a thermocouple as long as an adjoining ancillary nozzle emits a monitoring flame. This nozzle communicates with another chamber to which gas is admitted in the open state of the first poppet valve and which also feeds the main nozzle head of the burner through a supply conduit including a manually and/or thermally controlled flow regulator. A second poppet valve, fixed to the push rod, is open as long as that rod is depressed against a spring force to give access to a further chamber from which supplemental gas is conveyed through another conduit to the nozzle head during a start-up phase while an igniter is being actuated.Type: GrantFiled: April 26, 1982Date of Patent: April 16, 1985Assignee: Societe Lyonnaise des Applications CatalytiquesInventor: Alain Lacroix

Patent number: 4420113Abstract: A space heater, designed to maintain the temperature of a room between a lower limit T.sub.m and an upper limit T.sub.M, is controlled by a system including a sawtooth-wave generator working by way of a clipping stage into a differential amplifier also receiving a monitoring signal representing the difference between an output voltage of a temperature sensor and a reference voltage. The differential amplifier emits a train of command pulses of temperature-dependent duration which temporarily reduce the mean power of the heater to a fraction of its maximum value, as by periodically interrupting its fuel supply when that heater comprises a gas burner. The heater is cut off for an extended period when the upper range limit T.sub.M is exceeded and is then restarted when the temperature falls beneath the lower limit T.sub.m. In the case of a gas burner of the catalytic type, the cut-in is accompanied by a supply of additional gas to the burner for a limited time.Type: GrantFiled: May 28, 1982Date of Patent: December 13, 1983Assignee: Societe Lyonnaise des Applications CatalytiquesInventor: Alain Lacroix
