  • Patent number: 8883126
Abstract: The water-based nail-polish composition includes a mixture of at least one water-based suspension (A) of hard nanoparticles of an acrylic polymer at a glass transition temperature that is greater than or equal to 55° C., in combination with at least one coalescent and/or plasticizing solvent of the polymer; and at least one water-based suspension (B) of nanoparticles of acrylic monomers, partially cross-linked, that have a film formation temperature of less than 15° C. The water-based composition can also contain a solution (C) of an acrylic polymer of low molecular weight that is less than approximately 20,000, with a high acid value, neutralized to a pH of between 7 and 8.5, approximately.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 21, 2006
Date of Patent: November 11, 2014
    Assignee: Fiabila
    Inventor: Alain Malnou
  • Patent number: 8679465
Abstract: The cosmetic composition for nails without phtalate, without camphor or aromatic solvent comprises: a principal cellulosic filmogenic polymer, preferably nitrocellulose, a diester of benzoic acid with a diol, as a plasticizer, and at least one additive resin. This composition can be used as a colored nail polish or for providing an adherent layer or a clear finish layer.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 11, 2002
Date of Patent: March 25, 2014
    Assignee: FIABILA
    Inventors: Alain Malnou, Francisco Martinez
  • Patent number: 7645444
Abstract: A nail polish composition comprises a cellulosic filmogenic polymer, a plasticizer and one or more solvents, and is characterized in that it includes 20 to 200% by weight, relative to the cellulosic polymer, of at least one second filmogenic polymer partially insoluble in the cellulosic polymer, giving rise to settling into at least two stable and separate liquid phases at rest. Preferably, the second filmogenic polymer is a vinyl resin, for example polyvinylbutyral. After agitation, this composition has a homogeneous appearance, and can be applied to the nails like a conventional polish.

  • Publication number: 20030165445
Abstract: The invention relates to a nail polish composition comprising a cellulosic filmogenic polymer, a plasticizer and one or more solvents, and is characterized in that it includes 20 to 200% by weight, relative to the cellulosic polymer, of at least one second filmogenic polymer partially insoluble in said cellulosic polymer, giving rise to settling into at least two stable and separate liquid phases at rest. Preferably, the second filmogenic polymer is a vinyl resin, for example polyvinylbutyral.
