  • Publication number: 20100199641
Abstract: The invention relates to a system for managing a reagent dispensing device in the exhaust line of an engine, said circuit including a tank (1), an injection means (3), a means for conditioning the reagent, sensors capable of determining the representative parameters of the condition of the dispensing circuit and of the reagent, and actuators for controlling the conditioning and injection means driven by a calculation unit based on the condition of the dispensing circuit and of the reagent and on the engine parameters determined by an engine control unit (5) characterised in that the calculation unit is integrated in the engine control unit (5) and in that the system includes an analog/digital interface (4) for processing the analog signals from the sensors (2) and the actuators (3, 7, 8, 9), provided in the vicinity of the tank (1) and connected to the engine control unit by a multiplexed digital link.

  • Patent number: 6788188
Abstract: A multi-function electronic warning horn system comprises a couple of horns (1, 2) and a microprocessor (6), integrated in an electronic module (16) comprising a voltage adjuster (13), an oscillator (17), power stages (3, 4) and a control circuit (7). Horns (1, 2) are controlled by either the push-button (5) of the steering wheel for the traditional function of acoustic signaling or by a coded signal transmitted to microprocessor (6) by the “intelligent” electronic unit or onboard computer of the vehicle for the function of buzzer.

  • Patent number: 5386576
Abstract: A method of associating the reception of a reset pulse by a microprocessor with access to a specific subprogram depending on whether the reset pulse is associated with a system incorporating the microprocessor being switched on for the purposes of "waking up" the microprocessor, or whether it constitutes a request coming from some other unit in the system, the method being wherein it comprises the following steps: on switch-on, causing a logical data item accessible by the microprocessor to change from a first state to a second state only after a certain time interval has elapsed since the switch-on; on each occasion that a reset pulse is received, reading the logical data item before the time interval has elapsed; and depending on whether the logical data item is in its first state or in its second state, branching either to an initialization subprogram appropriate to switch-on, or else to a subprogram appropriate to processing the request.

  • Patent number: 5204863
Abstract: A device for monitoring the operation of a microprocessor and capable of generating an error signal whenever the frequency of a signal derived from the microprocessor crosses an upper or a lower frequency threshold comprises: an oscillator periodically producing a monotonically varying voltage and including a threshold circuit, the oscillator generating an error signal when the monotonically varying voltage crosses a threshold, and including a reset input for returning the monotonically varying voltage to level closer to its starting voltage; and a treatment circuit for treating the derived signal and generating pulses on the input at the frequency of the derived signal so long as the frequency is no greater than the upper threshold, otherwise applying no pulse to the input. When pulses are produced at a lower frequency, the time interval between two reset pulses is greater than the time interval required for the monotonically varying voltage to reach the threshold voltage.
