  • Patent number: 5348492
Abstract: A bracket for a cable internal to a lower part of a tubular pipe. The bracket includes a head integral with an upper end of the cable and a body integrated in the pipe. The head includes an electrical contact connected to an electric cable conductor, with the contact electrically cooperating with an electric connection integral with the body of the bracket. The electric connection is connected through an electric link including a cable pipe element or cable running externally of the pipe. A measuring or servicing assembly to be carried out by lengthening or shortening the pipe by using either cabled pipe elements or simple cables and by controlling the length of the cable by a surface winch while maintaining an electrical link with a measuring and/or servicing assembly inserted into the tubular pipe.

  • Patent number: 5219298
Abstract: Assembly for forming at least one electric connection through a pipe formed of elements fixed together, each element having a first end and a second end, adapted to cooperate mechanically with the complementary ends of the adjacent elements. The assembly comprising in combination for each pipe element a conductor placed inside the element, a first connector fixed to the first end of the pipe element and which cooperates electrically with the conductor, a second connector fixed to the second end of the pipe element and which cooperates electrically with the conductor. At least one of the connectors comprises an anchorage piece and a removable connector. The anchorage piece comprises a housing for receiving a charge of uncured gum of stabilizable material for fixing the anchorage piece on the pipe element after curing or stabilization, and the assembly comprises an arrangement for locking the removable connector on the anchorage piece.

  • Patent number: 4343370
Abstract: This turbo-coring device comprises a tubular body provided with a coring bit and surrounded by a following pipe provided by a reaming bit. The tubular body is connected to the turbine through a fluid distributor having a side opening for discharging above the following pipe in the annular space between the device and the borehole wall a fraction of the fluid leaving the turbine, while the remaining fraction feeds the tubular body. The following pipe is connected to the outer wall of the fluid distributor through releasable bayonet type latching means.Means are provided for automatically closing the fluid discharge opening when the lower part of the tubular body becomes obturated by ground formations and an annular sealing packer is positioned between the tubular body and the following pipe.
