  • Publication number: 20110017403
Abstract: A rigid core which at least partly defines a manufacturing form for the inside surface of a tire, the core comprising a plurality of circumferentially adjacent segments (10) arranged side by side in contact with each other via their transverse faces, said transverses faces of at least one segment being convergent radially away from the core, each of said segments comprising an attachment part (13) for attachment to a locking member for locking the various segments (10), said attachment part (13) being provided at the radially inner edge of each of the segments (10), in which core at least one electrical heating resistor (17) is moulded into each of the segments (10); the electrical resistor comprises a heating resistor wire (17) running in a steel tube (16), and said segment (10) is essentially made from a grade of cast iron whose melting point is below the melting point of said steel tube (16).

  • Publication number: 20100054878
Abstract: A rotary hole punch (T) comprising a cylindrical head (10) with circular section, the free end (11) of which can be gripped by a means able to drive said hole punch rotationally, a cylindrical tube (20) of circular section, attached to the inner end (12) of the head (10), and ending in a cutting edge (21), characterized in that the head (10) of the hole punch includes at least one duct (13) making it possible to feed a fluid under pressure inside the tube (20) at the level of the inner end (12) of the head (10).

  • Patent number: 7118702
Abstract: The tire mold comprises a laminated peripheral crown having a stack in the circumferential direction of a plurality of thin sheets. Cutouts distributed over several adjacent sheets increase the venting ability of the mold.

  • Publication number: 20050092423
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a core for molding a tire, wherein the core (1) comprises an annular membrane (4). The membrane is placed in a rotomolding form (2), and a fusible material (6) is introduced into the interior of the membrane. The melting point of the fusible material is between 80° and 250° C. and is introduced in the liquid state. A hollow core, obtained by rotomolding, essentially consists of a crust (7) of the fusible material in its solid state.

  • Publication number: 20040232599
Abstract: The mold for a tire has a laminated peripheral crown. It is formed by a stack in the circumferential direction of a plurality of thin metal sheets 1 adjacent to one another. The said metal sheets are grouped into sectors 11 thus forming monobloc subassemblies.

  • Patent number: 6468062
Abstract: A rigid core at least partially defining a manufacturing form for the internal surface of a tire, the core including a plurality of circumferentially adjacent fractions disposed side by side in contact with one another by their transverse faces, the transverse faces of at least one fraction converging radially at the exterior of the core, each of the fractions including a portion for attachment to a rim, the attachment portion being arranged at the radially internal end of each of the fractions, the attachment portion being produced essentially from a first material, the core further including a main portion which is integrally connected to the attachment portion, is produced essentially from a second material different from the first material and is integrally connected to the attachment portion, the manufacturing form being essentially defined by said main portion.

  • Patent number: 6017206
Abstract: The sector mold (11) is designed so that, during the molding phase, the molding elements (10, 10a, 10b, 10c) are all equidistant due to devices (13) which assure an elastic repulsion between each other. Some of the elements glide circumferentially with respect to their sector (11) in the final closing phase. In this way, pinching of the rubber between sectors and the appearance of molding burrs are avoided.
