  • Patent number: 10243363
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided, which provide for the de-centralization of the logic necessary to perform electrical optimization of any contained electrical system. The systems and methods de-centralize, or distribute, electrical optimization logic into intelligent devices which are locally connected to both the generation and loads, in such a way that control can be asserted over these resources. The inventive systems and methods require less infrastructure and communication backbone to IT/Data Center infrastructure than are typically required by previous systems and methods known in the art.

  • Publication number: 20180343723
Abstract: A spotlight and a method of controlling the spotlight with an external device. The spotlight having a first light source including a center spotlight, a second light source including area lights, a power supply, a transceiver configured to communicate wirelessly with the external device, and a processor. The processor is operable to receive a first input from the external device specifying a first amount of power to be provided to the first light source, and receive a second input from the external device specifying a second amount of power to be provided to the second light source. The processor is also operable to control the power supply to provide the first amount of power to the first light source in response to the first input, and control the power supply to provide the second amount of power to the second light source in response to the second input.

  • Publication number: 20180149344
Abstract: An area light includes a base having a first end and a second end, a pair of legs rotatably coupled to the first end of base, where the pair of legs is rotated towards the base when the light is in a stowed configuration and is rotated away from the base when the light is in an open configuration, and a light body having a light head. The light body is rotatably coupled to the base on the first end of the base, wherein the light body is rotated towards the base when the light is in the stowed configuration and is rotated away from the base when the light is in the open configuration. A light deploy mechanism couples the light body to the base. The light deploy mechanism is adjustable to move the light body between the stowed configuration and the open configuration.

  • Publication number: 20180111547
Abstract: A carrier assembly for a light includes a main housing having a first end, a second end, and a main axis extending between the first end and the second end. The carrier assembly also includes an extension member slidably coupled to the main housing for movement along the main axis between a retracted position and an extended position. The extension member is biased toward the retracted position. The carrier assembly further includes a wireform hook extending from the first end of the main housing. The wireform hook includes two legs coupled to the extension member for movement with the extension member. The carrier assembly also includes a bracket member coupled to the wireform hook. The bracket member includes a base material extending between the two legs of the wireform hook and a second material overlaying a portion of the base material. The second material is softer than the base material.

  • Patent number: 9462792
Abstract: A beehive for honeybees having a configuration that allows a beekeeper to inspect the hive at regular intervals with minimal disturbance to the honeybees. The bees work comb frames contained within an array of master frames. The master frames are pivotably attached to a support pole with connectors fixed to the master frames. The connectors are arranged so that the array of master frames containing the comb frames are side by side and in a rectangular cross section when the beehive is closed. The master frames can be rotated around the support pole either individually or in groups allowing inspection of the comb frames without damaging the comb frames.
