  • Patent number: 6996290
Abstract: Various systems, methods, and programs embodied on a computer readable medium are provided for binding curvature correction in an image of pages of a bound medium. The binding curvature correction involves electronically acquiring an image of a set of pages of a bound medium, the image of the set of pages having a binding curvature distortion, and, generating a corrected image, the corrected image including the content of the image without the binding curvature distortion.

  • Publication number: 20040218224
Abstract: In an implementation of facsimile transmission with instruction sub-code, a sending device contacts a receiving device to initiate a fax session with the receiving device and communicates an instruction sub-code to the receiving device before a fax protocol exchange is initiated. Fax protocol exchange information is then received from the receiving device and, in response, the sending device communicates fax protocol exchange information and communicates a facsimile transmission that includes fax data to the receiving device.

  • Publication number: 20030142328
Abstract: Various systems, methods, and programs embodied on a computer readable medium are provided for image processing evaluation. In one embodiment, a method is provided that comprises the steps of forecasting a number of image processing parameters of an image processing operation based upon at least one image processing setting, displaying the image processing parameters on a display device, and, performing a preoperative task based upon a user input in response to the display of the image processing parameters.

  • Patent number: 6281872
Abstract: A rotation interface for an image is implemented. In response to a rotation control selecting a current angle of rotation, an image is rotated to the current angle of rotation. In response to a mirroring attribute control being selected, the image is mirrored by flipping the image around a first axis. The first axis is varied from vertical by the current angle of rotation. Selecting a flip control results in flipping the image. The current angle of rotation for the rotation control is adjusted by 180°. Also, the current state of the mirroring attribute control is changed to reflect a current mirrored state of the image resulting from flipping the image.

  • Patent number: 6166719
Abstract: Adjustments are made to a represented image. The represented image is copied to a base image. The base image is copied to produce a second image. The second image is displayed. when a user adjusts a first adjustment control from a plurality of adjustment controls, the base image is copied to the second image, the second image is varied in accordance with current values for each of the plurality of adjustment controls and the second image, as varied, is displayed. The current values for each of the plurality of adjustment controls are applied to the second image in accordance with a predetermined sequence. Likewise, when the user adjusts a second adjustment control from a plurality of adjustment controls, the base image is copied to the second image, the second image is varied in accordance with current values for each of the plurality of adjustment controls and the second image, as varied, is displayed.
