  • Patent number: 11977220
Abstract: A digital micromirror device comprises an array of micromirror pixels, the array comprising a first micromirror pixel and a second micromirror pixel. The first micromirror pixel comprises a hinge, where the hinge is configured to tilt toward a first raised address electrode and toward a second raised address electrode. The first micromirror pixel also comprises a first micromirror coupled to the hinge, where the first micromirror has a sculpted edge. The second micromirror pixel comprises a second micromirror, where a first gap between a first point on the sculpted edge and a nearest point to the first point on the second micromirror is larger than a second gap between a second point on the sculpted edge and a nearest point to the second point on the second micromirror.

  • Patent number: 10641260
Abstract: Valve assembly for a pump, the valve assembly including: a valve seat having a valve face (60), a flexible valve having a sealing portion for abutting the valve face (60), and at least a fluid pathway (66, 68, 70) from an interior of the valve seat to an exterior of the valve seat that serves as a leak flow path for fluid when the valve is in the closed position to reduce pressure build up on the valve. In this way, the vacuum inside the pump can be released when the value is in the closed position and the pump is stopped, thereby allowing the pump to start/restart due to reduced pressure build up on a side of the valve abutting the valve face. A pump or compressor including such a valve assembly is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 10440941
Abstract: A reusable rock holder for use as a fishing sinker is disclosed. According to embodiments of the disclosure, instead of using a conventional fishing sinker in a fishing rig, the reusable rock holder can secure a rock or other object for use as a sinker. The reusable rock holder can secure rocks or objects having different or irregular shapes and/or sizes corresponding to materials naturally occurring in the environment. Furthermore, the reusable rock holder can release the rock or other object when snagged, allowing the fisherman to retrieve the rock holder and the rest of the fishing rig. The fisherman can then simply find another rock, secure it in the rock holder, and resume fishing. The availability of rocks at the fishing location can provide a zero-cost source of eco-friendly sinkers.

  • Patent number: 10280875
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for progressively opening and controlling each of a fuel vapor canister purge valve (CPV), an auxiliary throttle coupled in series with a venturi, and a main intake throttle arranged in parallel with the auxiliary throttle in order to deliver a desired intake airflow or manifold vacuum to an engine intake manifold. In one example, a method may include actuating a CPV to supply airflow to the engine via a fuel vapor canister while holding closed a main throttle and an auxiliary throttle arranged in parallel with the main throttle and in series with a venturi. The method further includes progressively opening the CPV, then the auxiliary throttle, and then the main throttle to achieve a desired intake manifold pressure.

  • Patent number: 9963062
Abstract: A removable anchor assembly is disclosed. In embodiments, the removable anchor assembly includes an anchor and a locking plate. The anchor includes a shaft with a head at a proximal end and a keyway shaft at a distal end. The anchor further includes a fixed washer, a compressible gasket configured to compress along a length of the shaft, and a slideable washer configured to move along the length of the shaft. The anchor also includes a t-lock formed in the keyway shaft. The locking plate includes a distal face and forms a locking-plate hole through the locking plate, a t-lock channel through the locking plate, and a recess formed in the distal face, the recess oriented perpendicular to the the t-lock channel and configured to secure the t-lock from rotating when the t-lock rests in the recess.

  • Patent number: 9658972
Abstract: A hybrid mass interconnect system and universal pull-through receiver are shown and described. In one embodiment, a universal receiver for a mass interconnect system includes a frame, a connection assembly and a universal interconnect module. Typically, the receiver supports a variety of testing platforms, including PXI-based platforms, LXI-based platforms, AXIe-based platforms, and a combination thereof. In other examples, a variety of other platform relationships may be used. In particular examples, the universal interconnect module has an upper tier with a pair of spatially separated horizontal rails and a lower tier that is adjacent to the upper tier with at least one pair of spatially separated vertical rails. The result is an interconnect system and receiver for enhancing the organizational and interchangeable electrical engagement between a test adapter and automated testing equipment.

  • Patent number: 9350851
Abstract: The volume settings of a mobile device can be overridden when a notification is received to allow a user to be immediately notified of an emergency or urgent matter. Each mobile device can be assigned a unique number which is used by other computing devices to send alerts to the mobile device. Each mobile device can also be assigned an emergency code that other computing devices use to override the mobile device's volume settings. When a mobile device receives a notification that includes its assigned emergency code, the mobile device can override the current volume settings so that the sound associated with the receipt of the notification will be audibly output. A remote map code may also be used to retrieve the location of a mobile device. A group emergency code or remote map code may be employed to notify or locate a group of mobile devices.
