Abstract: There is provided a system for forming compartments in a carrying case or attache case to stow various items, such as a laptop or notebook computer. The system comprises a plurality of support bars disposed along the inner walls of the carrying case and a plurality of partition bars coupled to the frame. Each support bar has a pair of substantially parallel rails disposed at its upper side and a longitudinal surface disposed at its lateral side. The parallel rails form an equidistant channel therebetween. Each partition bar that has an end portion for coupling to a respective support bar. The end portion has an appendage that is disposed in the channel of the support bar and a planar end surface that is positioned adjacent to the longitudinal surface of the support bar. Accordingly, each elongated partition bar subdivides the housing and forms a compartment on either side of the partition bar.
