  • Publication number: 20230177975
Abstract: Pointer reading tool (20) to read a plurality of words by saccading between a plurality of individual pointers enabling any person to learn and train to read using person eye peripheral vision when reading. Having vertical rigid member (5) with horizontal rigid member (22, 23) extended to the width of a line of text on a page or screen (FIGS. 1H and 1I). Plurality pointer member (11, 7, 6, 9, 13) are vertical from horizontal rigid member (22, 23) in reading mode (FIG. 1A). By reducing saccades, improving person eye peripheral vision to read in groups of words, a reader can read at a better pace with improved focus and better concentration whilst reducing stress, strain and fatigue of the eye when reading.

  • Patent number: 9009975
Abstract: A method of producing a filter unit, such as an air/oil separator, having a tubular filter element bonded at one end to an end cap, is proposed. The method includes the steps of: providing a tubular filter element and an end cap; melting a portion of the end cap; and embedding an end of the filter element into the melted portion of the end cap. The melted portion, on cooling, solidifies to bond the tubular filter element to the end cap. The end cap can be formed of thermoplastic containing an electrically conductive filler. The end cap can be formed of a thermoplastic having a melting point of at least 180 C. The method may further include, after the embedding step, a step of forcing melted thermoplastic from the melted portion radially against a side wall of the tubular filter element.

  • Patent number: 4992346
Abstract: There is described a method of processing exposed holographic material to obtain holograms having a broader band replay a hologram which is of the silver halide in gelatin binder type which method comprises holographically exposing the holographic material by use of coherent light, developing the holographic image by a chemical process and then treating the material sequentially either firstly with a solution of an anionic surfactant which comprises at least one alkyl group having at least four carbon atoms and then with a solution of a quaternary ammonium compound which comprises at least one alkyl group having from 10 to 18 carbon atoms or a polymeric compound which comprises at least one quaternary ammonium group in the repeating unit or firstly with a solution of said quaternary ammonium compound or polymeric compound and then with a solution of an anionic surfactant, the material being subjected to a silver bleaching step at one stage after development.

  • Patent number: 4977047
Abstract: A method of preparing a hologram which is of the silver halide in gelatin binder type which method comprises holographically exposing the holographic material by use of coherent light, developing the holographic image by a chemical process and wherein after development the material is treated with an aqueous solution of an anionic surfactant which comprises at least one alkyl group having at least four carbon atoms, to achieve bathochromic shift in the replay wavelength.
