  • Patent number: 6024452
Abstract: A device for homogenizing light rays from a light source. The device includes a first multi-prismatic surface, a second multi-prismatic surface, and a reflective housing connecting the first multi-prismatic surface with the second multi-prismatic surface. The device may be employed in a liquid crystal display projection system. The system includes, in addition to the device, a parabolic reflective collimator, a lamp centered in the parabolic reflective collimator, the lamp emitting light rays reflected by the parabolic reflective collimator, and a liquid crystal display positioned to receive light rays passing through the first multi-prismatic surface, the reflective housing, and the second multi-prismatic surface.

  • Patent number: 5319400
Abstract: A sheet of imageable film for use in an overhead projector is provided with at least one, and preferably two, opaque flaps attached in a foldable manner to the film so that the flaps may be unfolded to prevent unwanted light from shining past the edges of the transparency.

  • Patent number: 5077178
Abstract: Disclosed are photothermographic constructions containing at least a plurality of light-sensitive layers which are separated by barrier layers composed of a polymer, e.g., ethyl cellulose and polyethylene terephthalate, having an energy activation of permeability (E.sub.p) of less than about 30 kJ/mole. The barrier layers must be substantially insoluble in the light sensitive layers and vice versa. Each light sensitive layer contains a nitrate salt, leuco dye, binder, and optionally, a photoinitiator. The photothermographic construction is capable of effectively reproducing full color images.

  • Patent number: 4728527
Abstract: An apparatus and method for treating one side of a moving web includes a pair of laterally spaced vertical end members. The web to be treated passes in a downwardly extending loop around the lower arcuate edges of the end members and is sealed thereto by tension in the web. The web and end members form a trough containing a flowable treatment material, and the web moves past the flowable material to be contacted and treated thereby. Guide means direct the web downwardly to the inlet side of the trough and upwardly from the exit side of the web-formed trough.

  • Patent number: 4521503
Abstract: A photoimageable printing assembly comprises:(a) an electroconductive support, and(b) a dual layer photosensitive construction comprising(1) a photoresist lower layer sensitive to radiation in the wavelength range of 250 to 450 nm, the photoresist being soluble or dispersible in an aqueous solvent only, in either the exposed or unexposed areas and(2) a photoconductive upper layer comprising zinc oxide in a water-soluble or water-dispersible binder, the layer being sensitive to radiation above 250 nm, and the layer being dispersible in an aqueous solvent. The assembly can be useful for making printing plates and printed circuits.
