Abstract: A garbage container and a garbage container holder assembly therefore is provided with holder assembly including a base plate which is anchored to the ground and which has a rib receiving portion formed thereon and a pedal which is spring-loaded from thereon. The garbage container has an outwardly projected rib at its lower end which may be positioned below the rib receiver and which may be positioned below the projecting portion of the spring-loaded pedal. The cooperation of the holder with the container maintains the container on the holder in windy conditions.
