Abstract: A coated component for a gas turbine engine is provided. The coated component includes a substrate having a surface and a ceramic coating. The ceramic coating includes one or more linear slots and one or more non-linear slots. The one or more non-linear slots intersect the one or more linear slots. The plurality of linear slots and the plurality of non-linear slots form segments of ceramic coating material.

Abstract: A computer system includes a text editor controller that receives input data, determines column location data indicating a location of at least one column for vertically organizing at least a portion of the input data based at least in part on the input data, and renders the input data as proportional font. A display device is configured to display a text area interface generated by the computer system, and to display the rendered proportional font in the text area interface in a vertically aligned manner based at least in part on the column location data.

Abstract: A virtual space configuration system of an artificial reality system can detect a user posture and provide various corresponding customizations of the system's virtual space. The virtual space configuration system can, when a user is in a seated posture, provide for seated virtual space customizations. In various implementations, these customizations can include allowing adjustment of a floor height; setting a flag that can be surfaced to applications to adjust the applications' mechanics for seated users; customizing display of virtual space boundaries when in seated mode to be less intrusive; providing options to detect when a user leaves seated mode and trigger corresponding actions; provide a passthrough workspace area allowing a user to interact with certain real-world objects naturally without having to remove a virtual reality headset; or automatically determining virtual space dimensions for seated users.

Abstract: Systems and methods for generating and validating certified electronic credentials are disclosed. A publisher may receive a certified electronic credential order from a credentialer and prepare a plurality of certified electronic credentials. The publisher may associate each credential with authentication information and a credential record, and retain a database of associated authentication information and credential records. The publisher may provide validation services, receiving a validation request through a credentialer's validation portal, and provide a response through the credentialer's portal indicative of the validity, additional information about the credential and/or the credential holder. The credential holder may assign a personal access key to control or limit the validation of a credential. A validating entity may receive credential validation through the credentialer with a heightened degree of confidence in the validation and lack of forgery.

Abstract: A conveyor condition monitor, for use with a conveyor comprising a plurality of trollies (12) running along a conveyor rail (14) and linked to one another by a chain link system, is disclosed. The monitor comprises a conveyor monitoring station (3) and a first deformation sensor (5a, 5b). The deformation sensor (5b) is in communication with the conveyor monitor, and is adapted to notify the conveyor monitor of the presence of a deformed (13b) trolley (12) in the conveyor.

Abstract: Artificial reality (AR) systems track pose and skeletal positioning for multiple co-located participants, each having a head mounted display (HMD). Participants can join a shared artificial reality event or experience with others in the same location. Each participant's HMD can independently render AR content for the participant based on the participant's pose and pose information obtained from other participants' HMDs. A participating HMD may broadcast tracking estimates for skeletal points of interest (e.g., joints, finger tips, knees, ankle points, etc.) that are within the field-of-view of the HMD's cameras and/or sensors. A participating HMD may receive skeletal position information determined by other HMDs, and aggregate the received tracking information along with internal tracking information to construct an accurate, full estimate of its own pose and skeletal positioning information for its corresponding participant.

Abstract: A system includes processing circuitry configured to receive sensor data regarding a user operating a head mounted display (HMD). The processing circuitry is configured to identify a plurality of reference points of a pose of the user based at least on the sensor data. The processing circuitry is configured to apply one or more models to the plurality of reference points to determine a type of the pose of the user. The processing circuitry is configured to select a mode of operation of the HMD responsive to the type of the pose.

Abstract: Pursuant to some embodiments, systems, methods and computer program code are provided for receiving a transaction request message, the transaction request message specifying transaction attributes for a proposed payment transaction involving a user of a mobile device and a merchant, comparing the transaction attributes with a permitted transaction rule, the permitted transaction rule having been stored in the mobile device prior to receiving the transaction request message, approving the proposed transaction upon determining that the transaction attributes satisfy the permitted transaction rule, the approving including generating a transaction cryptogram, and transmitting the transaction cryptogram to the merchant for use in completing the proposed payment transaction.

Abstract: A three dimensional printing system includes a resin vessel, a light engine, a movement mechanism, a fixture, and a controller. The resin vessel is for containing a photocurable resin and has a lower portion with a transparent sheet. The light engine is configured to selectively project radiation up through the transparent sheet and over a build plane. The fixture is coupled to the movement mechanism and has a lower face that faces the transparent sheet. The controller is configured to operate the light engine to solidify a particle trapping sheet proximate to the build plane thereby trapping particles that extend upwardly from the transparent sheet into the build plane.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for offloading session management processing into a forwarding plane. In some examples, a subscriber is coupled to a network endpoint through a session manager during a network session of the subscriber in a network environment. A session manager offloading system of the session manager can be maintained in a vector packet processing system in a forwarding plane of the network environment. The session manager offloading system can be configured to offload processing from the session manager into the forwarding plane. Further, at least a portion of subscriber traffic in a stream between the subscriber and the network endpoint through the session manager can be intercepted. Subsequently, the at least the portion of the subscribed traffic that is intercepted can be processed at the session manager offloading system as part of offloading the processing from the session manager into the forwarding plane.

Abstract: A golf putting training device with a base and a plurality of posts extending upwardly from the base is provided. The plurality of posts may be positioned on a diameter of a circle and the diameter may be generally equal to a golf hole diameter. A distance between at least two of the plurality of posts is less than the golf hole diameter and thereby provides a narrow opening for a golf ball to roll through. A pair of sleeves may be positioned on a pair of adjacent posts such that the narrow opening for the golf ball to roll through is reduced. Also, an elastic member may extend between two posts and across the narrow opening for the golf ball to roll through such that a golf ball putted towards the narrow opening is redirected when it is rolls into the elastic member.

Abstract: Currently, many aspects of electronic transactions have become digital, and may therefore be performed online using mobile devices. However, many of these possibilities have been adopted by no longer supporting legacy systems—in the newer and emerging economies, this does not create a major problem as they have few consumers using legacy systems and methods. But this lack of interoperability limits the adoption of legacy-compatible systems and method. It also restricts their adoption in other countries. In addition, the increased use of payment through such electronic transactions is increasing the frequency and amount of fraudulent transactions.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure describe aquaculture filtration systems comprising a tidal basin, first bead filter unit, second bead filter unit, and optionally an inoculation tank. The tidal basin and first bead filter unit can be in fluid communication. The first bead filter unit can be in fluid communication with the second bead filter unit and optionally the tidal basin via a bypass line. The second bead filter unit can be in fluid communication with the tidal basin and optionally an inoculation tank via an inoculation loop. The aquaculture filtration systems can optionally further comprise pumps for circulating fluids, such as circulation pumps and inoculation pumps, and valves for controlling or directing fluid flow. Embodiments also describe related methods, systems, apparatuses, and the like.

The device includes a magnifying lens, a digital camera, a processor, program memory and a wireless communication module, all supported on a wearable device body. The wearable device body may be an eyeglass frame, a watch body or wristband, a headband or sweatband or a cap or other headgear, among other possibilities. Applications of the wearable computing device include unattended shopping in a physical retail store.

Abstract: An article for service at high temperatures comprises a substrate comprising a first region and a second region; and a coating disposed over the substrate. The coating comprises a first portion disposed over the first region of the substrate and a second portion disposed over the second region of the substrate. The coating includes a layer comprising a ceramic material and further including a quantity of surface-connected voids, and a protective agent is disposed within at least some of the surface-connected voids of the layer. Within the first portion, the agent is present within the layer at a concentration of less than or equal to 4 percent by volume of the layer exclusive of the voids, while, within the second portion, the agent is present within the layer at a concentration up to the carrying capacity of the layer. Methods for forming the article are also presented.

Abstract: A cryptographic method of performing a tokenised transaction between a payment offering party and a payment accepting party is described. The tokenised transaction is mediated by a transaction scheme. The payment accepting party is provided with a merchant identity and a merchant certificate associated with that identity by the transaction scheme provider. The payment accepting party provides the merchant identity and transaction seed data to the payment offering party. The payment offering party validates the merchant identity and uses the merchant identity and the transaction seed data to generate a cryptogram for the tokenised transaction. The payment offering party provides the cryptogram to the payment accepting party for transmission to the transaction scheme provider for authorisation of the tokenised transaction. A suitable user computing device and merchant computing device for acting as payment offering party and payment accepting party respectively are also described.
