  • Patent number: 11922004
Abstract: Reduced-size user interfaces for providing weather information are disclosed. At an electronic device with a touch-sensitive display, indications of a location and a temperature at the location may be displayed. In some examples, a user may provide input through a touch on the touch-sensitive display and/or through a rotation of a rotatable input mechanism to display additional weather information, such as weather information for another location, another temperature, another time, and so forth. In some examples, the device may obtain data representing an upcoming activity, determine whether the activity is to begin within a threshold amount of time, and display weather information based on the upcoming activity. In some examples, the device may display an affordance at a position to indicate the time of day for which a weather condition is provided.

  • Patent number: 7529692
Abstract: A method of delivering a plurality of selectable auction items to a browser of a client computer system. The client computer system downloads a main program that is configured to load onto the client computer system one or more modules including a picture displaying module. The picture displaying module obtains, from an auxiliary site, a set of picture pointers to pictures that correspond to auction items listed on a computerized auction site. The picture displaying module obtains the pictures pointed to by the picture pointers and displays the pictures of the items in a moving display on the client computer system. A selection device controls the speed of the moving display and permits the client to select a picture, thereby taking the client computer system to the item description document at the computerized auction system.

  • Publication number: 20080183478
Abstract: A computerized method of listing items at an auction site using pre-stored item numbers and item keys. Item numbers and keys are obtained from the auction site by submitting to the site a generic item description and generic auction parameter data. In response to the submission the auction site returns a verification form with the item number and item key, which are extracted and saved for later use. When an actual item is to be listed on the auction site, a stored item number and item key are retrieved and combined with the actual item description data and actual auction parameter data and the combined information is then submitted to the auction site for verification. The auction site responds and a command is then issued to post the item for sale, after which a listing fee is charged to the user's account by the auction site. Items can be listed with original listing numbers or re-listing numbers, the latter saving the listing fee if the item is sold.

  • Publication number: 20080006505
Abstract: An angled arrangement of a currency document handling device and a second unit and an angle arrangement of two currency document handling devices, components of the same, and methods of coupling and using the same. For example, a currency document processing system for processing currency documents including currency bills comprises a currency handling device, a first currency document receiving unit, and a first angular transport unit. The first currency document receiving unit is adapted to receive at least some bills processed by the currency handling device. The first angular transport unit is adapted to receive bills from the currency handling device and transport bills to the first currency document receiving unit. The angular transport unit is adapted to be coupled between the currency handling device and the first currency document receiving unit such that the currency handling device and the first currency document receiving units are angled relative to each other such as by ninety degrees (90°).

  • Patent number: 7296033
Abstract: A method of promoting for bid or sale of auction items of a seller on an auction site. In an item description of an item available from a seller on the auction site, a pointer is embedded. The pointer points to a related item offered for bid or sale on the auction site. When the user accesses the item description, the auction site causes an access to a facilitating server using the pointer. This, in turn, causes the facilitating server to produce a list of related items available by the same seller on the auction site. The list is presented to the user so that the user can bid on or purchase the related items. In this way, a specific seller's items can be promoted to bidders or purchasers using the auction site.
