  • Patent number: 11429894
Abstract: Example aspects of the present disclosure are directed to systems and methods for learning classification models which satisfy constraints such as, for example, constraints that can be expressed as a predicted positive rate or negative rate on a subset of the training dataset. In particular, through the use of quantile estimators, the systems and methods of the present disclosure can transform a constrained optimization problem into an unconstrained optimization problem that is solved more efficiently and generally than the constrained optimization problem. As one example, the unconstrained optimization problem can include optimizing an objective function where a decision threshold of the classification model is expressed as an estimator of a quantile function on the classification scores of the machine-learned classification model for a subset of the training dataset at a desired quantile.

  • Publication number: 20070140804
Abstract: A method of reducing the effective width of cargo, such as a concrete double-tee. The method comprises positioning the arm in a first position in which the arm is substantially horizontal, the arm being pivotally biased toward the first position, lowering the double-tee onto the arm such that the first leg of the double-tee is received by the first bracket and the second leg of the double-tee is received by the second bracket, and pivoting the arm and double-tee to a second position in which the second end of the arm contacts the base to support the arm, the arm being biased toward the second position when the arm supports the double-tee. The concrete double-tee includes a deck, a first leg and a second leg. The support structure includes a base, a stanchion extending upwardly from the base, an arm pivotally connected to the stanchion and extending between a first and second end. The arm includes a first bracket disposed near the first end and a second bracket disposed near the second end.

  • Publication number: 20060175876
Abstract: A seat assembly arranged to pivot about a horizontal axis and capable of being repositioned between a forward seated position and a tailgate position. The assembly includes a first assembly including a pin. The assembly further includes a second assembly including a recliner link. The recliner link is arranged to engage or disengage the pin based on rotation of the seat assembly. Engagement of the pin with the recliner link locks the seat assembly into tailgate position and prevents the first assembly from inadvertently folding into a position parallel to said second assembly.

  • Publication number: 20060067802
Abstract: A support structure for supporting and tilting an oversized cargo to reduce the effective width of the cargo. The structure comprises a frame having a base and a stanchion connected to the base. A rocker arm is pivotally coupled to the stanchion to pivot about a pivot axis. The arm includes a first and second end disposed opposite one another. The arm has a center of gravity disposed between the first end and the pivot axis and that biases the arm to pivot in a first pivotal direction. First and second brackets are positioned near the first and second ends of the arm for receiving the cargo. The cargo has a center of gravity disposed between the pivot axis and the second end that causes the arm to pivot in a second pivotal direction opposite the first pivotal direction.

  • Patent number: 6089662
Abstract: A child restraint seat assembly integral with a passenger seat in a vehicle. The child seat includes a back support constructed and arranged to support a torso of a child in a seated posture. A bottom support is pivotally mounted to the back support and moveable between a stowed position and a deployed position for supporting the child in the seated posture when in the deployed position. A pair of shoulder belts extend over the back support and are constructed and arranged to secure the torso of the child to the back support. A pair of lap belts extend over the bottom support and are constructed and arranged to secure a lap region of the child. A crotch belt is integrally connected to the lap belts and extends upwardly from the bottom support for locking engagement with the shoulder belts.
