  • Patent number: 9062602
Abstract: A method of charging an internal combustion engine with a fuel air mixture, the engine having opposed pistons with a combustion chamber therebetween, wherein the method includes forcing induction air during a compression stroke between a first and a second cylinder via a contraction and expansion or a venturi disposed between the first and second pistons.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 17, 2011
Date of Patent: June 23, 2015
    Assignee: JBEC PTY LIMITED
    Inventor: Alan Patrick Casey

  • Patent number: 7258779
Abstract: A method and means for producing a combustible mixture of hydrogen and oxygen by electrolysis of water using a pulsed application of water onto electrodes while applying an electrical potential between electrodes and where the electrodes are not immersed in the water which flows between the electrodes while undergoing electrolysis.

  • Patent number: 6010077
Abstract: A nozzle arrangement comprising a plurality of nozzle assemblies arranged in an axially aligned and spaced apart arrangement, with a gas and/or liquid inspiration zone between the nozzle assemblies. Each nozzle assembly has a flow passage with an expansion zone formed proximate the outlet end thereof, and at least one discontinuity in the expansion zone formed as an annular shoulder followed by a cylindrical portion, which serves to minimize the build up of a liquid film on the inside surface of the flow passage.

  • Patent number: 5735468
Abstract: A mixing apparatus for atomizing fluid in a gas flow. The apparatus has a nozzle which fluidly communicates with a source of liquid, and a gas passage which surrounds the nozzle. The nozzle is formed such that it directs the liquid into the surrounding passage as a continuous, radial emanating sheet. The gas flowing through the passage impacts with the liquid sheet to produce a uniform cloud of atomized liquid droplets downstream of the nozzle. The apparatus may further have a reduced cross-sectional area of the passage in the vicinity of the nozzle to increase the gas velocity and enhance the atomization of the fluid. The nozzle may have a valve arrangement to selectively open and close the nozzle, and the passage may have a valve arrangement. A swirl mixing of the atomized liquid and gas may be provided downstream of the impact atomization of the fluid sheet in the passage.
