  • Publication number: 20210331095
Abstract: A filter comprising a housing defining an inlet, a first outlet and a second outlet, a first filter element arranged between the inlet and the first outlet such that a portion of the fluid that flows into the inlet flows through the first filter element and out of the first outlet, a second filter element arranged between the inlet and the second outlet such that a portion of the fluid that flows into the inlet flows through the second filter element and out of the second outlet, wherein the first filter element comprises a sintered material filter.

  • Publication number: 20190082887
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a solid-fuel cooker, such as a barbecue, comprising: a body defining a chamber configured to act as a firebox for combustion of solid fuel, such as charcoal or briquettes; a fuel support structure for supporting the solid fuel in the chamber; and an ignition system for igniting the solid fuel supported by the support structure. The ignition system comprises at least one electric heating element mounted to the body and located in or adjacent to the chamber for heating the solid fuel supported by the support structure, the at least one electric heating element configured to be switched between an electrically energized (i.e. switched “on”) state and an electrically de-energized (i.e., switched “off”) state. The at least one electric heating element is configured to transfer heat to the solid fuel supported by the support structure to ignite the solid fuel when the switch is operated to the electrically energized (i.e. switched “on”) state.

  • Patent number: 5094097
Abstract: A hand crimping tool includes a fixed mandrel (6), a moveable mandrel (8), and an operating mechanism (16) for the moveable mandrel (8). The operating mechanism (16) comprises a rotatable lever (18) having a cam surface (22A), which engages a cam surface (8B) on the moveable mandrel (8). The lever (18) also has a ratchet (24) engageable by a pawl (b 26). The ratchet teeth and the cam surface are formed so that the pawl (26) will only release when the cam surface (22A) has reached a predetermined position.

  • Patent number: 5014713
Abstract: A body fat thickness measuring device comprising a pair of infrared emitting diodes, one emitting a steady, low-intensity light, and the other emitting periodic, high-intensity pulses of light, to be placed against the skin where the fat is to be measured. The device contains an array of detectors in the form of infrared-sensitive photo-transistors which are placed against the skin in predetermined locations near the two diodes, yet shielded from ambient light. The detector array provides signals proportional to the amount of infrared light detected, and these signals are summed and amplified, forming a composite signal. The amplitude of this composite signal, which is indicative of the thickness of the layer of fat, is displayed on a digital readout device.

  • Patent number: 3979740
Abstract: A monitoring system for use as an intruder alarm. The system which is designed to reduce the likelihood of generating false alarms, e.g. alarms generated in the absence of an attempt to break in to premises protected by the system but in the presence of some other occurrence, includes a sensor circuit having at least one set of normally-closed contacts coupled in series between terminal means for coupling the circuit to a source of current and output means coupled to the sensor circuit for providing, in use, a first output signal upon actuation of a set of contacts for a predetermined time interval the length of which may be varied as desired. The system includes pulse generating means for providing the first output signal in the form of pulses, timing means for defining said interval and counting means for counting the output pulses during the said interval and for providing a further output signal when the number of pulses counted in the said interval equals or exceeds a predetermined value.
