  • Patent number: 10791611
Abstract: An LED lamp is provided that is capable of being wirelessly and remotely controlled by an LED lighting control device. The LED lamp includes an antenna on the lens of the LED lamp and is embedded in a raised section of lens material. Locating the antenna in the raised section of lens material allows the LED lamp to be controlled by a stronger control signal from the LED lighting control device at greater distances (e.g., typically greater than ten feet) and does not detract from the aesthetic appeal of the LED lamp.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 6, 2018
Date of Patent: September 29, 2020
    Assignee: J & J ELECTRONICS, LLC
Inventors: Jeffrey Daniel Emerson, Samir Harshadrai Shah, Alan Van Diep

  • Publication number: 20090264041
Abstract: A surface-mounted lighting system and method wherein a lamp (e.g., an LED) is mounted within a surface (e.g., a wall, the wall of a pool or spa, a panel, etc.) such that it casts light to one side of the surface. A lighting system of the present invention comprises a) a lens cap/light emitting diode/first connector subassembly and b) a second connector/wire subassembly. A first connector located on the lens cap/light emitting diode/first connector subassembly is connectable to the second connector located on the second connector/wire subassembly such that power may be delivered through the second connector/wire subassembly to the lamp. Thereafter, when it is desired to remove or change the lamp, the first connector is disconnected from the second connector and the entire Lens cap/LED/first connector subassembly may be removed and replaced.
