  • Patent number: 7416375
Abstract: A bolt coupling device which has a body with a chamber, an inlet and an outlet. The coupling device includes a coupling mechanism. The coupling mechanism includes a threaded surface along a bolt receiving channel. The coupling device includes a spring member that urges the threaded surfaces toward a first axis, and a cam member between two coupling segments which is rotatable. The cam member separates the first and second coupling segments to increase the dimension of the bolt receiving channel to selectively engage and disengage a bolt. The cam member can be positioned along a second axis which is parallel to the first axis or perpendicular to the first axis.

  • Publication number: 20050056612
Abstract: An apparatus for removing a stopper from a bottle by rotating a threaded capsule surrounding the threaded neck of a bottle. The capsule is preferably received over a narrowed neck of the bottle to maintain the appearance of a foil-wrapped and cork-closed bottle. The bottle may be sealed with plugs (natural cork, synthetic cork, molded plugs), planar seals, or a combination thereof. The capsule may engage the stopper directly or by way of a stopper anchor. Aspects of the invention include preventing uncontrolled egress of stoppers from pressurized bottles, the resealing of various forms of bottles after removal of the stopper, locking the closure in place, and providing evidence of tampering.

  • Patent number: 5427488
Abstract: A threaded fastener has a casing enclosing at least three radially inwardly biased arcuate segments positioned to engage the threads of a bolt or hollow threaded member. The casing defines spaced apart internal frustoconical surfaces positioned to engage corresponding surfaces of the segments in the same axial direction. The radially inner ends of the frustoconical surfaces are directed toward a first end of the fastener, and the diameter of the radially inner end of the frustoconical surface away from the first end of the fastener is less than the radially outer diameter of the other frustoconical surface. The threads of the segments substantially fully engage the threads of the bolt or hollow threaded member.
