  • Publication number: 20230050089
Abstract: A stretcher with a heated section, the heated section of the stretcher comprising: two opposing electrically conductive elements positioned at, or towards, opposing sides of the stretcher, wherein the opposing electrically conductive elements are connectable to a power source; an electrically conductive layer in electrical contact with the opposing electrically conductive elements, to heat up when the opposing electrically conductive elements are powered by the power source; such that the electrically conductive layer is X-ray transparent to allow a patient to be X-rayed whilst on the stretcher.

  • Patent number: 7766183
Abstract: A peelable lid structure, particularly for use in the closing of food cans, has a tab which is folded over the center panel and secured in the folded position for processing of can contents and/or handling operations. As the tab is secured, an inexpensive laminate structure which requires little or no aluminum content can be used. Methods of forming the peelable lid structure include exposing a layer of heat sealable material and/or an adhesive layer so that the tab (3) can be folded over and adhered to this layer, for example, by heat sealing.

  • Publication number: 20100116374
Abstract: A method of forming a container having enhanced openability is disclosed. The method includes providing a can body, and providing a can end having an approximately planar panel, a pull tab affixed to the panel, and a moveable portion disposed beneath a handle of the tab, the moveable portion being in a first position extending upwardly toward the handle. The method also includes filling a comestible product into the can body at an elevated temperature, seaming the can end to the can body, and moving the moveable portion from the first position to a second position extending downwardly away from the handle, such that a gap is formed or enlarged between the moveable portion and the handle, enhancing accessibility to a user's finger. The moving being in response to internal negative pressure caused by cooling of the product within the can body.

  • Patent number: 6341709
Abstract: A full aperture easy open end having a central panel, a circumferential score and a tab riveted to the central panel so that its nose is positioned above the score. When the end is first opened, the score is broken along an arc having a specific chord length. The end is of metal having a grain which is aligned to a tangent at one end of the chord. In a preferred embodiment, this “grain tangent” is also at minimum score residual.
