Publication number: 20230199488Abstract: Providing an automatic access configuration (AAC) that is customizable allows for automatic authorization of a client device to receive one or more access parameters via a requestor access point connection so as to access a network associated with an access point device each time the client device transitions within proximity of the network or each time an update is made to the network. The (AAC) can include one or more access parameters that identify client devices, users, or both that are permitted to access a network without requiring any manual input by a user. The (AAC) can be customizable so as to be updated according to the changing requirements of the network. Rather than requiring a user to provide input, the (AAC) can be accessed by the access point device to determine whether a specific client device should be authorized and provided access to a network automatically.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 8, 2022Publication date: June 22, 2023Inventors: Christopher S. Patent number: 10911838Abstract: The disclosed examples encompass a media sending device, a media receiving device or a method of sending and reproducing media. For example, a media sending device may store media content and a meta-data file which includes media customization information to facilitate reproduction of the media content and an identifier that identifies a type of the information in the meta-data file. The media sending device then transmits an indication to the receiving device indicating that reproduction of the media content would be facilitated by use of the information in the meta-data file. The media sending device then transfers the media content and the meta-data file to the receiving device, in response to receiving a request for the media content from the receiving device. Then, the media receiving device reproduces the media content based at least in part on information extracted from the meta-data file, in a manner indicated by the identifier.Type: GrantFiled: December 18, 2014Date of Patent: February 2, 2021Assignee: ARRIS Enterprises LLCInventors: Christopher S.
