  • Patent number: 7523660
Abstract: The invention relates on an oval gear meter for volume flow measurement comprising a housing with an oval gear chamber with a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet, a pair of oval gear wheels positioned in the chamber and together forming an intermeshing or non-intermeshing involute toothing, and a contactless magneto-reactive sensor means positioned outside of the chamber. At least one of the oval gear wheels is provided with at least one permanent magnet to form a trigger wheel. The sensor means is positioned in an appropriate position relative to the trigger wheel so that the sensor means is adapted to measure the rotation of the oval gear wheels by measuring the rotation of the trigger wheel. The trigger wheel is provided with a permanent magnet that generates a generally homogeneous magnetic field along one axis of symmetry of the trigger wheel so that the magnetic field is generally symmetrical relative to the rotational axis of the trigger wheel.

  • Publication number: 20080202255
Abstract: The invention relates on an oval gear meter for volume flow measurement comprising a housing (1) with an oval gear chamber (2) with a fluid inlet (3) and a fluid outlet (4), a pair of oval gear wheels (5, 6) positioned in the chamber (2) and together forming an intermeshing or non-intermeshing involute toothing, and a contactless magneto-reactive sensor means (7) positioned outside of the chamber (2). At least one of the oval gear wheels (5, 6) is provided with at least one permanent magnet (9) to form a trigger wheel (6). The sensor means (7) is positioned in an appropriate position relative to the trigger wheel (6) so that the sensor means (7) is adapted to measure the rotation of the oval gear wheels (5, 6) by measuring the rotation of the trigger wheel (6).

  • Publication number: 20070014673
Abstract: With a method for controlling a diaphragm or piston pump that is actuated by a cam driven by an electric motor and via a ram or connecting rod, a solution is suggested for a simple system construction that enables quantities of metered media to be delivered at the most constantly rate possible. This is achieved in that in order to deliver an approximately constant volume flow of metered medium, the diaphragm or piston of the pump is moved at approximately constant speed during the compression stroke by the driving unit of the cam with consideration for the cam position.

  • Patent number: 6457944
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for operating a dosing pump, the pump being driven by an asynchronous motor, comprising a drive which converts the motor revolutions into pump strokes of a defined stroke frequency. The pump strokes are comprised of a pump suction stroke and of a pump delivery stroke. Pump strokes are continuously carried out during a dosing phase. The aim of the invention is to provide a solution concerning a dosing pump having an asynchronous motor drive, a frequency converter thereto, and a control unit which interacts therewith in which the dosing behavior is improved during the operation of dosing pumps having an asynchronous motor drive.

  • Patent number: 6121739
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for enhancing the dosing precision of a dosing pump which is driven by an asynchronous motor via an eccentric gear. The supply of the motor is cut off approximately half a cycle time before a desired dosing pause period or stoppage. The motor freewheels afterwards for part of the cycle time, before a direct voltage is applied to it for approximately a quarter cycle time, such that an eddy current is induced in the rotor, which produces an antipolarized magnetic field which brakes the rotor.
