  • Patent number: 6428451
Abstract: A rotatable pedestal for allowing single riders such as a child to use their body weight to cause a rotatable disc seat to rotate over a sloped surface on a support stand. Springs within the stand cause the seat to rotate in an erratic and jumpy manner while the seat goes from a horizontal position to tilted positions of up to approximately 20 degrees and back to a horizontal positions. The pedestal is small enough and light enough to be portable and strong enough for most children up to the age of approximately 12 years old.

  • Patent number: 6158740
Abstract: A toy puzzle including a plurality of individual pieces that can be assembled into a geometrically solid shape, such as spherical, is provided. In one embodiment, the individual pieces can include a truncated conical base member with a central spindle protruding perpendicularly from the center of the base. The pieces can have truncated conical base members of the same or different sizes. The spindle has metal in at least the end opposite the base that is attracted and held by a magnet. Upon assembly of the plurality of individual pieces, the magnet will be disposed at the center of a resulting object of preselected shape. In an alternate embodiment, a equilateral pyramid may be formed having a triangular base from six identical pieces. In yet another embodiment, a cube can be formed from twelve identical pieces that are also joined to the magnet in the center.

  • Patent number: 5720524
Abstract: A combination toy and stool is provided that rotates and simultaneously lowers when a child sits on the seat. When the seat lowers fully, the invention can be used as a stool. The invention includes a stool seat that has a helically grooved or twisted central shaft extending below the seat, and a plurality of support shafts spaced about the central shaft also extending below the seat. The seat sets onto a pedestal that incorporates an upper and a lower member that rotate relative to each other similar to a "lazy susan". The upper pedestal member has a plurality of upward extending tubular members that receive the support shafts that extend below the seat. The lower pedestal member has an upward extending central shaft that extends through the center of the upper pedestal member and receives the twisted central shaft of the seat in a vertical aperture in the central shaft.
