    Abstract: A composition and method of cleansing and regenerating contaminated filtration membranes is described together with the synergized antimicrobial aqueous solution of an inorganic peroxide and a polymeric solubilized iodine complex. The membrane to be regenerated is of the type used in ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis and microfiltration and the construction and composition of the member is per se known.
