Abstract: The present invention relates to management of plant defenses and tolerance to insect and fungal vectored pathogens such as viruses and disease resistance management by applying laminarin or compositions comprising laminarin to a plant. Application of laminarin modulates the expression of plant defence genes in the target plant.

Abstract: A method of protecting plants against damages caused by phytoparasitic pests, such as nematodes by treating a plant, plant part, or a locus thereof with an agrochemical composition comprising an effective amount of dodine or a salt and/or a solvate thereof. An agrochemical composition for controlling phytoparasites comprising an effective amount of dodine or a salt and/or solvate thereof is also described. The agrochemical composition can be used to prevent phytoparasites, including nematodes and nematode progeny, from developing or growing and can be used to kill phytoparasites on plants, plant parts or a locus thereof.

Abstract: A partition wall, preferably, a fire retardant partition wall, has posts and crossbars consisting of steel hollow profiles with grooves on the broad and narrow sides. A narrow groove on the board side serves to receive elastic couplings attaching the crossbars to the posts. A wide groove extending the full width of each wide side receives a sealing strip baring on panels which are suspended from studs traversing the posts. Between the panels on opposite sides of the structure, a thermally insulating nonflammable material is received and a labyrinth seal can be provided between the panels and the posts and crossbars and between the packing material and these hollow profiles.
