  • Patent number: 11374366
Abstract: A system is described for providing an electrical ground connection for a circuit assembly. The system may include a housing for the circuit assembly, the housing having an electrically conductive fixation member configured for attachment to an electrically conductive element outside the housing. The system may also include an electrically conductive feature configured for attachment to the circuit assembly, the electrically conductive feature comprising a flexible contact terminal configured to contact the electrically conductive fixation member inside the housing. Attachment of the electrically conductive fixation member to the electrically conductive element outside the housing enables an electrical ground connection for the circuit assembly via the electrically conductive feature comprising the flexible contact terminal.

  • Patent number: 10700451
Abstract: An electrical connector assembly is provided with a conductive body with a first aperture formed therein, and a second aperture formed therein intersecting the first aperture. A first post has an aperture formed radially therethrough. The first post is sized to be received within the first aperture of the conductive body with an end of the first post accessible externally from the conductive body for receipt of a first electrical connector. A fastener is sized to be received within the second aperture of the conductive body and extend through the aperture in the first post to retain the first post in the conductive body for electrical communication between the first electrical connector and the conductive body. A second post is exposed externally from the conductive body for receipt of a second electrical connector for electrical communication with the first electrical connector.

  • Patent number: 10368465
Abstract: An electrical unit includes a thermally conductive housing, an electrically insulating frame disposed in the thermally conductive housing, a plurality of bus bars disposed at least partially between a base wall of the thermally conductive housing and a first side of the electrically insulating frame, and a plurality of electrical components connected to a second side of the electrically insulating frame. At least one bus bar of the plurality of bus bars may be connected to the electrically insulating frame via one or more plastic rivets. Thermally conductive material may be disposed between at least one bus bar of the plurality of bus bars and a wall of the housing.

  • Patent number: 10326442
Abstract: An assembly for providing one or two disconnection switches in any of different electrical supply systems includes a printed circuit board having an internally configurable dual switch arrangement. The dual switch arrangement includes first and second switch areas for first and second groups of solid-state devices, first and second driver areas for first and second switch drivers, and busbars and power terminals. The first switch area includes the first group of solid-state devices and the first driver area includes the first switch driver which drives these solid-state devices as either a normally closed (NC) or a normally opened (NO) disconnection switch. First and second ones of the busbars respectively connect ends of the disconnection switch to first and second ones of the power terminals whereby the disconnection switch is provided in the electrical supply system when the electrical supply system is connected to the first and second power terminals.

  • Publication number: 20140247099
Abstract: In at least one embodiment, an apparatus including a relay is provided. The relay includes a coil, a terminal, and a thermal conductive material. The coil generates heat in response to a current. The terminal includes a first contact positioned thereon. The coil and the terminal define a cavity there between. The thermal conductive material is positioned in the cavity and is in thermal communication with the coil and the first contact to transfer heat from the coil to the first contact.
