Abstract: A method and a system for punctual fastening a waterproofing and protective membrane (13) of plastic material, for protective and waterproofing surfaces (19) of hydraulic works (10), such as canals, tunnels, dams and the like. In relation to surface areas subjected to fluid and/or wind actions, the protective membrane (13) is fastened to the concrete structure (11) of the hydraulic work and/or to ground (37) by a system of punctual fastening devices (15, 16).

Abstract: A dam includes a body (11) made of loose material, for example earth and/or rocks (A), and a water barrier (12) axially extending to the dam body (11), including a waterproofing layered membrane (13) and a zone of waterpermeable loose material (B), on at least one side of the membrane (13), which can be injected with a sealing fluid and is designed to avoid puncturing of the membrane (13) and to allow the monitoring of the leakage water due to failures in the waterproofing membrane (13). The water barrier (12) can be provided inside the dam body or close to the upstream face.

Abstract: A system for constructing underwater impermeable protective sheathings of hydraulic structures or parts of them. At least one reference line is provided on the surface area to be protected and a protective sheathing is constructed underwater by positioning and stretching impermeable sheet materials over the area, keeping one lateral edge of each sheet material parallely aligned to said reference line, and maintaining hydrostatic balanced conditions between the pressures on the front and rear faces of each sheet material; the sheets are afterwards watertight connected along their edges and anchored to the surface of the hydraulic structure by mechanical anchorage devices.

Abstract: A method and an assembly for protecting dams according to which dehydration of the dam body is obtained as a result of the differences in temperature between the concrete structure and a steam barrier defined by a water-proof protective sheathing. The condensation water and any seeping water is eliminated by means of a drainage channel system at atmospheric pressure.
