    Abstract: A portable computing system includes a portable computing device consisting essentially of a logical processor, a memory in communication with the logical processor with operating system software, a high speed, secure wireless communication module in communication with the logical processor, an integrated power source suitable to provide all power needs of the portable computing device and an integrated electric power generation mechanism in communication with the integrated power source to recharge the integrated power source. In addition a visual display is provided that has a power supply separate from the integrated power source of the portable computing device and a complementary wireless communication module, the portable visual display in communication with the high speed, secure wireless communication module through the complementary wireless communication module. The portable computing device and the visual display do not share a physical connection.

    Abstract: Methods and systems for tag-based identification include receiving a set of parameters at a user device from a remote server. A counterfeit-proof identification tag is read using a sensor in the user device using the set of parameters. Features of the counterfeit-proof identification tag are extracted in accordance with a feature extraction function, using a processor, to generate a tag bit sequence. A challenge function is applied to the extracted features to generate a result. The result is transmitted to the remote server to authenticate the counterfeit-proof identification tag. The counterfeit-proof identification tag is authenticated with a tag database at the remote server.

The system may further include a first MMW transmitter that couples a first data modulated MMW signal to the first antenna coupling point and a second MMW transmitter that couples a second data modulated MMW signal to the second antenna coupling point. Coupling the first data modulated MMW signal to the first antenna coupling point generates a first MMW radio signal transmitted at a first propagation direction and coupling the second data modulated MMW signal to the second antenna coupling point generates a second MMW radio signal transmitted at a second propagation direction.
