  • Patent number: 10173961
Abstract: Disclosed is a process for performing a reductive amination of a first functional group in an organic feed substrate, which feed substrate comprises at least one further functional group containing a halogen atom, wherein the halogen atom is selected from the list consisting of chlorine, bromine, iodine, and combinations thereof, in the presence of hydrogen and a heterogeneous catalyst comprising at least one metal from the list of Pd, Pt, Rh, Ir, and Ru, and in absence of any catalytic amount of any second metal from the list consisting of Ag, Ni, Co, Sn, Bi, Cu, Au, and combinations thereof. The process is preferably applied for the reductive amination of 2-chloro-benzaldehyde to form 2-chloro-benzyldimethylamine, as an intermediate in the production of active agrochemical compounds and microbicides of the methoximinophenylglyoxylic ester series.

  • Patent number: 9267863
Abstract: A propeller system with two propellers, arranged one behind the other and separated by a propeller gap, respectively comprising a propeller hub and at least one rotating force measuring device, comprises at least two differential pressure sensors and an evaluation unit. The rotating force measuring devices are mechanically connected to the respective propellers and are adapted for determining the individual thrust force of each propeller. At least one of the said differential pressure sensors is arranged on or in each propeller and is adapted for measuring a differential pressure between the propeller gap and the respectively opposing side of the propeller. By adding the measured individual thrust forces and by subtracting the gap area forces that are based on the respectively measured differential pressures, the evaluation unit can determine a precise overall thrust force for the propeller system.

  • Patent number: 8813581
Abstract: A force measuring system is provided for measuring forces on a rotating body that includes, but is not limited to a force measuring device, which is mounted on the rotating body, as well as a position sensing unit for detecting the rotation of the rotating body and an evaluation unit, which is connected to the force measuring device and the position sensing unit. The evaluation unit is configured for recording a force value measured by the force measuring device depending on the detected position of the rotating body. The force measuring system allows the forces and torques on a rotating body to be determined precisely and as flexibly as possible, independently of the prevailing rotation speed of the rotating body.

  • Patent number: 6114918
Abstract: A low phase-noise device, like e.g. a microstrip-mounted voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) is described, and also a method of reducing such a noise in such devices or other devices comprising a microstrip-mounted coaxial ceramic resonator. In practice, a recess is made in the metallic support, opening towards the substrate, extending beneath the terminal area of the ceramic resonator or, possibly, even beyond it. Said recess is filled with air and the layer of electrically conducting material between the substrate and the metallic support at said recess is removed.
