Abstract: Optical high-pressure transmission cells of the type used, for example, for SFC-FTIR, comprise a pressure-resistant housing part with two intersecting bores, one of them forming a fluid passage and the other one forming a light transmission path. The bore forming the light transmission path is provided with inserted windows. There is a demand in infrared spectroscopy, for supercritical fluid chromatography, for particularly pressure-resistant cells of simple design, which demand has not been satisfied heretofore. In the case of the proposed measuring cell, the windows are designed as stepped windows having central cylindrical neck portions engaging the bore serving as a light transmission path so that the chamber is delimited by end faces of the neck portions. Sealing is effected by O-rings.

Abstract: The invention relates to an automatic device for quick heating of liquids, particularly water, which device includes at least two containers having conduits for supplying cold water and provided each with heating means, a tank into which warm water is alternatively supplied from outlets of the single containers, first control means for alternatively actuating said outlets, second control means sensitive to the pressure within said tank for connecting or disconnecting said heating means and third control means sensitive to the depression within one of said containers for disengaging said heating means and said first control means of the outlets.

Abstract: A pressing machine arrangement, comprising at least two dies defining a molding cavity is described.The main feature of this machine is to comprise means for adjusting the thrust pressure exerted at least on one of the said dies (22, 255), substantially in every region of the said dies, in order to maintain substantially mating, during the stage of maximum thrust, the contours of the said dies (22, 7, 255, 332) which define the said molding cavity, by means of an analogous deformation for the said two dies. Said means comprise a cylinder (77, 213) whose head (76, 216) acting into the said dies has a relatively reduced thickness, so as to allow its deformation.
