  • Patent number: 8651779
Abstract: A method for producing a drive shaft of a food processor, the drive shaft having an end-side, splined-shaft-like toothing that is movable into positively locking engagement with a complementarily formed clutch. The method includes producing the toothing by machining the drive shaft with a cylindrical milling cutter, wherein the cylindrical milling cutter engages with the drive shaft from a radial direction with respect to a longitudinal axis of the drive shaft; and positioning an axis of rotation of the cylindrical milling cutter cross-wise relative to the longitudinal axis of the drive shaft, wherein the axis of rotation of the cylindrical milling cutter is at an incline relative to the longitudinal axis of the drive shaft so that the axis of rotation and the longitudinal axis draw an angle of less than 90°.

  • Publication number: 20110185920
Abstract: A system for the alternate support of a first drive shaft or a second drive shaft to rotationally drive a processing tool of a food processor for preparing foods. The food processor has a preparation container, and the system includes a passage through which the first drive shaft or the second drive shaft protrudes from the outside into the preparation container in order to drive the processing tool in a rotatable manner. The passage has a first bearing to support the first drive shaft, and the system further includes an adapter which is inserted into the passage and which has a second bearing to support the second drive shaft.

  • Patent number: 6164812
Abstract: The electric food processor has a housing in which there is disposed an electric motor with a motor shaft. The motor shaft, via a gear mechanism, drives three or more concentric output drives at different rotational speeds. The common axis of rotation of the output drives is spaced a distance from the motor shaft. Working tools are selectively coupled to the output drives and the working tools rotate in a working container which is placed on the housing. In order to expand the possible uses of the food processor, the fastest output drive rotates at a speed that is suitable for a mixing tool, and the gear mechanism has at least two sets of input gear teeth that are rotatably mounted independently of each other, so that the fastest output drive can be driven out of direct engagement with the slower output drives.

  • Patent number: 6000651
Abstract: An electric food processor has a housing in which there is arranged an electric motor with a motor shaft. A belt drives a step-down belt pulley of a vertical first shaft from the motor shaft. The first shaft is disposed vertically in the housing and working tools running in a working container that can be placed on the housing of the food processor can be coupled to the first shaft. A compact and flat construction of the food processor is assured in that the electric motor is aligned horizontally in the housing. The motor shaft rotates about a substantially horizontal axis. An intermediate shaft is mounted essentially vertically in the housing. The intermediate shaft is coupled to the motor shaft with a half-crossed, first belt and, on the other hand, is coupled to the vertical first shaft by an open, second belt. The first shaft is thus driven by the motor through the intermediary of the intermediate shaft.
