  • Patent number: 9457739
Abstract: A flexible, resilient, non-woven acoustic sleeve and method of construction thereof is provided. The sleeve has an elongate nonwoven layer with opposite sides bonded to one along a lengthwise extending bonded seam, thereby forming a circumferentially enclosed inner cavity sized for receipt of an elongate member therethrough. The sleeve further includes a generally smooth inner scrim layer bonded to an inner surface of the nonwoven layer, wherein the smooth inner scrim layer forms a circumferentially continuous, smooth inner surface bounding the cavity, with the material of the inner scrim layer forming at least a portion of the bonded seam.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 25, 2015
Date of Patent: October 4, 2016
    Assignee: Federal-Mogul Powertrain, Inc.
Inventors: Hiroki Yamaguchi, Maeda Takuto, Ritesh Mehbubani, Aleksandr Ilyin, John E. Burdy

  • Publication number: 20150093556
Abstract: A wrappable textile sleeve and method of reducing cracking in a foil layer of a wrappable textile sleeve are provided. The sleeve includes an elongate wall extending along a longitudinal axis between opposite ends with lengthwise extending edges extending along the longitudinal axis between the opposite ends. The wall includes a textile layer, a polymeric film layer fixed to the inner textile layer and a metal foil layer fixed to the polymeric film layer. The polymeric film layer has a first thickness and the metal foil layer has a second thickness, wherein the second thickness is greater than the first thickness.

  • Publication number: 20070235382
Abstract: A filter system for filtering water and/or wastewater which includes an underdrain system having a plurality of laterals that are anchored to the floor of a filter by a hold-down assembly. Preferably, the hold-down assembly does not rely on grout or other substance that is applied in a viscous or semi-viscous state and subsequently hardened as the primary means for connecting the underdrain laterals to the floor of the filter. Preferably, the hold-down assembly includes hold-down clips that can move relative to an anchor assembly and corresponding underdrain blocks so that the hold-down clips can cooperate with any desired portion of the corresponding underdrain blocks.
