  • Patent number: 6286835
Abstract: A basket-like box intended to contain elements for a game which requires a black-board, the black-board also serving as a cover for the box, and this latter on its turn serving as a support for keeping the black-board in a working position. To the rear part of the box there are sideways pivoted the end portions of two levers, to the opposite end portions of which is pivoted the black-board, whereby when the black-board is lowered it places itself onto the opening edge of the box, thus forming the cover thereof, whereas the raised black-board rests onto the box edge, and it is kept in working position. The upper side edges of the box are shaped with a series of teeth which enable obtaining different stable working positions of the black-board resting on said teeth.

  • Publication number: 20010007833
Abstract: An element formed of plastic matter, intended to be used in a system of elements for composing, by frictional insertion, static or dynamic constructions having a game or didactic purpose, this element forming a cardan joint which comprises a first fork, a second fork and an intermediate member connected (in the operative conditions) to the first fork by pivots perpendicular to the axis of the first fork and connected (in the operative conditions) to the second fork by pivots perpendicular to the axis of the second fork, the pivots for connection to the second fork being perpendicular to the pivots for connection to the first fork, and each fork being provided, at its end opposite the region for connection to the intermediate member, with coupling members acting by frictional insertion; conforming a specific system for the composition of constructions. Preferably the coupling member of at least one of the forks conforms the system of composable elements described in the U.S. patent application Ser. No.

  • Patent number: 5114349
Abstract: An element for a didactic play, of the type capable of showing several surfaces carrying different representations, which may possibly be combined with the representations of other elements forming a set, in order to compose writings, images or the like, comprising a support, a prismatic body pivoted on the support and carrying on its faces some representations, and a control member carried by the support and capable, when operated, of acting on the prismatic body by causing a rotation thereof along the angle by which each face of the element is replaced by the subsequent face. The control member is formed by a push-button whose operation causes a rotation of the prismatic body in a preestablished direction by acting, by means of a pawl being a part of an inner operating member, onto an arrangement with escapement wheel carried by an end of the prismatic body. The set of such elements moreover includes a tray suitable for containing a number of elements, ordered by lines and columns.

  • Patent number: 5090934
Abstract: An instructive toy consisting in a disassemblable vehicle model, which comprises a supporting structure which substantially simulates the frame of a real vehicle and is provided with releasable connections, and a number of operative units, provided with releasable connections complementary to the releasable connections of the supporting structure, and also provided with operative connections complementary to corresponding operative connections of other units. Each operative unit simulates a main functional unit of a real vehicle, particularly an engine unit, a speed gear unit and a differential unit, and each operative unit comprises movable component parts intended to simulate the operation of the simulated real functional unit, mounted within a transparent casing which allows their observation. The structure and the operation of the different operative units may be observed both separately in the disassembled model, and in their whole in the mounted model.

  • Patent number: 4662846
Abstract: An apparatus for mechanically composing a mosaic pattern formed by balls, which comprises an inclined composition table subdivided by uniformly spaced protruding guides into a number of columns extending along the direction of the lines of maximum slope, each column having a width slightly larger than the diameter of a ball and a length several times larger than said diameter, a store of differently colored balls to be disposed into columns, situated at a level higher than that of the composition table, a reservoir for discharged balls, situated at a level lower then that of the composition table, a launching and column forming device actuable to direct each ball arriving from the upper store towards a preselected column of the composition table, a rejection device opening into the lower reservoir, a retaining device situated at the lower end of the columns of the composition table to normally retain the balls contained in these columns and, on command, to let them roll down towards the lower reservoir, and a

  • Patent number: 4637544
Abstract: A process for the manufacture of boxes, wherein a sheet material, such as cardboard, is punched to produce a box element with at least five sections limited by parallel score lines; the ends of at least three sections are inserted and fastened in U-grooves recessed in side walls formed by synthetic material, a fourth section forms a lowerable and liftable cover and a fifth terminal section forms a closing flap, for which each side wall of synthetic material has an insertion groove. The fastening of the punched element to the side walls may be carried out without adhesives by means of the engagement of the punched element edges, and of cuts thereof, in the U-grooves of the side walls, and with some teeth of them. Some side flaps defined in the closing flap can co-operate with inwardly and outwardly directed teeth of the insertion grooves, by providing for the cover in closed position a releasable catch and, respectively, a sealed closing.

  • Patent number: 4606471
Abstract: A box, particularly suitable for containing small items, which is made of a semiflexible plastic material, and comprises a box-type body and a cover connected to one another by lamellar hinges; both the walls of the body and the main wall of the cover are formed by a number of material elements between which there are open spaces whose global surface prevails over the global surface of the material elements, thus forming a cage structure. Some material elements have a circular cross-section, others have a trapezoidal cross-section. Portions having no open space extend along the vertical edges of the body and at intervals transversally with respect to the body; separation walls may be formed at the portions having no open space. Massive rims extend all around the body and the cover and both the material elements and the lamellar hinges terminate at the massive rims.

  • Patent number: 4474558
Abstract: A didactic game wherein a number of balls are allowed to roll by gravity along a guide channel on a play plate. The guide channel has bifurcations controlled by switch means provided with manual control members for selecting the trajectory of each ball and direct the same towards a specific nest of a plurality of nests arranged at the outlet of the ramifications of the guide channel. All switch means of the same order are connected to a single collective control member. The two positions of each control means are designed by the digits 0 and 1, which, read from the top towards the bottom, indicate in binary numeration the progressive number of the nest made reachable by the ball. This progressive number is marked in decimal numeration in the nests. The game may be used, in addition to play purposes, also for explicating and fix in the memory the practice of translating numbers from one to the other system of numeration.
