  • Patent number: 10677250
Abstract: A centrifugal ceiling fan adapted to evenly ventilate and heat its surrounding area. The fan comprises a casing defining a top, a side, and a bottom. The air inlet is provided in the top and the air outlet comprises a first passage provided in the side and a second passage provided in the bottom, and a central dome for regulating the flow of air between the first passage and the second passage to a desired proportion. The fan comprises a centrifugal propeller having blades which are curved and have a variable width such that rotation of the centrifugal propeller causes air to be received from said air inlet and to be pushed from said air outlet in substantially all directions between the first direction and the second direction. The dome comprises a heat source for heating air pushed downward from the bottom. Whereby, unheated air is pushed sideways and heated air is pushed downward and for evenly ventilating and heating a room in which the centrifugal ceiling fan is installed.

  • Patent number: 9829009
Abstract: The present document describes a centrifugal ceiling fan. The fan comprises a casing, a motor and a centrifugal propeller. The casing comprises an upper surface comprising an air inlet and a lower surface comprising an air outlet. In an embodiment, the lower surface has a round bowl-like shape including a plurality of openings defining the air outlet. The propeller comprises a shaft and a plurality of blades provided around the shaft. The blades may be curved to push the air in all directions between a first direction substantially perpendicular to the rotation shaft and a second direction substantially parallel to the rotation shaft in order to evenly ventilate the room. The fan may include a heating element for heating the air as it exits from the fan.

  • Publication number: 20130145538
Abstract: A pool cover for heating swimming pools using sun rays. The pool cover comprises a solar panel provided at an upper surface of the cover facing the sun, a battery connected to the solar panel for receiving and storing the electric current generated by the solar panel, and a heating element provided at the lower surface of the cover for heating the water using the current received from the battery. The pool cover also includes a floater provided at an edge of the cover, the floater being sized and positioned to keep the pool cover afloat when the pool cover is on the water. A layer of heat insulating material may also be provided within the pool cover for preventing heat losses with the ambient air. In another embodiment, the cover may be provided without a battery whereby the solar panel may be directly connected to the heating element.

  • Publication number: 20120121237
Abstract: A bi-heating hot water tank comprising a first compartment including a water inlet for receiving cold water, and a second compartment including a heating element for heating water. The two compartments are in fluid communication with each other whereby the second compartment receives the water from the first compartment. The hot water is discharged from the second compartment using a conduit that passes within the first compartment prior to exiting the water tank to preheat the water in the first compartment prior to entering the second compartment. This arrangement allows for reducing the operation time of the heating element, and for providing hot water at higher temperatures and for longer periods of time.
