  • Patent number: 11939045
Abstract: A landing gear assembly for an aircraft includes an energy absorber and a land-contact assembly attached to the energy absorber. A retraction assembly is attached to the energy absorber via a pivot point. A trigger assembly is coupled to the energy absorber and the retraction assembly. The trigger assembly is configured to retract the land-contact assembly from an extended position to retracted position in response to a piston of the energy absorber reaching a maximum stroke position in which the trigger assembly triggers an actuator to actuate from a locked position to an unlocked position to release the retraction assembly in a controlled manner which rotates the energy absorber and the land-contact assembly to the retracted position. The maximum stroke position of the piston is beyond normal-operation stroke positions of the piston. A landing gear system and a method of activating the landing gear system utilizes the trigger assembly.

  • Publication number: 20240067437
Abstract: In one aspect, a reconfigurable apparatus includes a first configuration, where the first configuration of the reconfigurable apparatus serves as a packaging box for a backpack. Specifically, the backpack may be folded and inserted inside the reconfigurable apparatus with the first configuration. The reconfigurable apparatus also includes a second configuration, where the second configuration of the reconfigurable apparatus serves as a structure for the backpack. Specifically, the reconfigurable apparatus with the second configuration can be inserted inside the backpack to provide an internal structure for the backpack.

  • Publication number: 20050174944
Abstract: A service provider enables a plurality of subscribers to gain access to a telecommunications network, such as the Internet. The service provider sets a bandwidth usage cap for the subscribers over a given usage period, such as a month. The usage cap is enforced by regulating the rate at which subscribers can send and receive data transmissions over an access network during the usage period. Those subscribers that send or receive data only occasionally will normally experience a transmission rate at or near the peak transmission rate offered by the service provider. However, those subscribers that attempt to send or receive excessive amounts of data will be throttled down to a lower sustained transmission rate, which will prevent them from exceeding the usage cap set by the service provider.

  • Publication number: 20010053218
Abstract: A “TC Correlate” mechanism correlates the outgoing TC-dialogue of an originating signaling point (SP) with the outgoing TC-dialogue at an intermediate SP. It allows an intermediate SP to terminate its TC-dialogue (signaling transaction) after it is no longer needed from a functional standpoint, while preserving end-to-end TCAP connectivity. It also allows an intermediate signaling point (e.g., switch or database) to forward a query to a second signaling point (e.g., second switch or database), while otherwise staying out of the TC-dialogue. In both instances, greater efficiency and better use of network resources can be achieved.
