  • Publication number: 20220410717
Abstract: A battery case leak testing device includes a housing having a testing port. A pump is in fluid communication with the testing port and is configured to generate a prescribed pressure at the testing port. A pressure sensor is in fluid communication with the testing port to measure fluid pressure at the testing port. A controller is in operative communication with the pump and the pressure sensor, and is configured to facilitate operation of the pump in a first mode and a second mode. In the first mode, the pump operates to generate a first prescribed pressure at the testing port. In the second mode, the pump operates to generate a second prescribed pressure at the testing port. The controller transitions the pump from the first mode to the second mode when the pressure sensor measures a prescribed pressure characteristic when the pump is operating in the first mode.

  • Publication number: 20220196537
Abstract: A velocimeter/nephelometer for measuring the three-dimensional velocity and/or size and/or shape of a particle. A set of laser interferometers and a set of photodiode detectors are arranged on a two-dimensional platform. Each laser interferometer produces a laser beam, with the beams intersecting within an inner area of the platform. Two of the laser interferometers produce like-oriented fringe patterns with an angular separation between the propagation direction of their beams of ninety degrees. A third of the laser interferometers produces a beam with the fringe pattern oriented orthogonal to the fringe patterns of the other two laser interferometers. Each detector is positioned and filtered to detect light from an associated laser interferometer, the light having been scattered by a particle as the particle passes through a volume of observation.

  • Publication number: 20190057346
Abstract: Systems and methods may be used to determine, allocate, and receive a progress-based load delivery settlement. A method may include activating a progress-based load delivery settlement session for a carrier account corresponding to a carrier. The method may include transmitting or receiving, in response information, such as from a GPS unit indicating that a load has been picked up by the carrier, a first percentage of a settlement to the carrier account. The method may include transmitting or receiving, in response information, such as from a GPS unit indicating that the carrier has passed a milestone, a second percentage of the settlement in the carrier account.

  • Patent number: 10005488
Abstract: A steering assistance actuator for a vehicle includes a actuator shaft, a torque sensor, a motor, a drive mechanism and a drive housing. The actuator shaft is rotatable about a first axis. The actuator shaft includes an integral torque sensor. The motor has an output shaft rotatable about a second axis. The second axis is substantially parallel to the first axis. The drive mechanism is disposed between and drivingly connects the motor and the steering column. The drive mechanism provides a speed reduction from the motor to the actuator shaft. The drive housing encloses the torque sensor and the drive mechanism and is separate from a steering gear. The drive housing also has a mounting feature to which a housing of the motor is fixed. The drive housing also has a first bearing and a second bearing rotatably supporting the actuator shaft in the drive housing.

  • Patent number: 7080377
Abstract: A method for utilizing shared resources in a computerized system, where commands are processed by a processor and executed by one or more of the shared resources, the method comprises steps: a) deriving, from each of the commands, subcommands respectively related to the one or more shared resources, b) assigning priorities to the subcommands, c) forwarding the subcommands to one or more queues of the respective one or more shared resources, so that each of the queues comprises the subcommands related to a particular shared resource. Each of the shared resources is thereby able to execute the subcommands from the queues in the asynchronous manner and according to their priorities.

  • Patent number: 5746545
Abstract: A ground stabilization structure having a plurality of rings secured together at peripherally adjoining surfaces by helical coil fasteners. The rings are arranged in a two dimensional array and the rings may be folded into a stack to provide for easy transportation of the structure. Preferably, the rings are tire beads cut from the rim of a waste tire and having a rigid wire support member embedded therein. The helical fasteners have a diameter sufficient to allow two rings to lie substantially flat on a ground surface with the peripheral surfaces of the rings contacting each other. The diameter of the coil also permits two adjacent secured rings to be folded upon each other to form a stack. A method of forming a ground stabilization structure is also provided in which the helical coils are threaded onto the rings at their peripheral junctions to form a two dimensional array.
