  • Patent number: 11292465
Abstract: A traffic controller includes a controller configured to reject a request and issue a speed requirement based on a priority to cause a speed of a one of a plurality of vehicles to be within a speed band before entering a road. The rejection is responsive to receiving the speed request from the one approaching the road having priority less than a predetermined threshold and outside of a speed band and a predetermined acceleration band of vehicles on the road.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 26, 2018
Date of Patent: April 5, 2022
    Assignee: Ford Global Technologies, LLC

  • Publication number: 20210053552
Abstract: A regenerative braking control method for a vehicle includes releasing an accelerator pedal at a desired vehicle speed; detecting a subsequent increase in vehicle speed from the desired vehicle speed while the accelerator pedal is released; in response to detecting the subsequent increase in vehicle speed, increasing a regenerative braking torque to decrease vehicle speed and drive vehicle speed toward the desired vehicle speed; and in response to a next engagement of the accelerator pedal after the releasing the accelerator pedal, suspending regenerative braking torque and controlling vehicle speed based on a position of the accelerator pedal.

  • Patent number: 10919495
Abstract: A system includes a processor configured to generate a new access key, responsive to a vehicle shutdown. The processor is also configured to connect to a previously identified user wireless device. The processor is further configured to deliver the new access key to the user wireless device, responsive to connection to the wireless device and locally store a copy of the new access key in a file designated for reference for a next-access attempt.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 10239452
Abstract: A route learning system for a vehicle and a method of using the system is described. The method includes: in response to determining that a current location matches a historical location, retrieving from memory false alert geotag that includes historical path data; and based on determining that a currently-predicted path does not match the historical path, replacing the currently-predicted path with the historical path to mitigate a false warning to a driver of a host vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20170082150
Abstract: The present invention in one or more embodiments provides a halfshaft assembly, which includes a hub including a hub surface and a hub bore abutting the hub surface, the hub bore being defined by first and second bore-surfaces and a third bore-surface positioned there-between along an axial direction, the first bore-surface being smaller in cross-sectional dimension than the second bore-surface, and the hub face including thereupon female face-splines; and a constant-velocity joint including a joint face and a stem extending from the joint face along the axial direction, the joint face including thereupon male face-splines to engage the female face-splines of the hub at an engagement position, the stem defining thereupon a recess extending radially and spaced apart from the male face-splines. As detailed herein elsewhere, the halfshaft assembly is believed to reduce the occurrence of seal-pinching and spline block.
