  • Patent number: 11832555
Abstract: A harvester includes a feed system operable at a feed speed and configured to feed a crop towards a blade. The blade is configured to cut the crop into crop billet and is operable at a cutting speed. The harvester further includes an optical sensor configured to generate a signal corresponding to a length of the crop billet and a control system with a processor, a memory, and a human-machine interface. The control system is configured to receive the signal and programmed to adjust one or both of the cutting speed or the feed speed based on the signal.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 30, 2020
Date of Patent: December 5, 2023
    Assignee: DEERE & COMPANY
Inventors: Alexander C. Reiners, John A. Dighton, Ana E. Carbunaru
  • Patent number: 11788563
Abstract: Systems and methods for determining a pre-charge gas pressure in a gas-charged hydraulic accumulator are disclosed. For example, systems and methods for determining pre-charged gas pressure of a gas-charged hydraulic accumulator included as part of a vehicle are disclosed. Further, the present disclosure provides for determining a pre-charge gas pressure of a gas-charged hydraulic accumulator using a position sensor. The accumulator may form part of a hydraulic system used to move one part of the vehicle relative to another.

    Assignee: Deere & Company
Inventors: Alexander C. Reiners, John A. Dighton, Peter A. Johnson
  • Patent number: 11470780
Abstract: A bearing coupler assembly that has a bearing housing sized to at least partially receive a bearing assembly, the bearing housing defining a bearing axis therethrough, a shaft positioned at least partially through the bearing housing along the bearing axis, the shaft defining a shaft lip and a fastener end, the bearing assembly coupling the shaft to the bearing housing so the shaft can rotate about the bearing axis relative to the bearing housing, a fastener configured to be coupled to the fastener end of the shaft, a tone wheel positioned axially along the bearing axis between the fastener and the bearing assembly, the tone wheel having at least one indicator, a sensor coupled to the bearing housing and configured to identify when the indicator passes thereby.
