The waste disposal device has a guide member that engages the guide feature of the cassette. The waste disposal device has a cassette housing and a sealing mechanism. One of the housing and sealing mechanism, and the cassette, rotate with respect to the other, either directly or indirectly.

The lip activated feature permits removal of the contents from the cup or container while mitigating against leaks and/or spills. The lid includes a movable member and a baffle. The cup assembly is constructed to have streamlined assembly method due to a reduced number of parts needing separation and/or improved connecting features.
